Yikes, I can’t believe it’s less than two weeks until Christmas! The fall TV season is winding down, but tonight, the schedule is packed—pretty much every Thursday network TV series is airing its final episode of 2012. So there’s plenty of stuff to watch, and we’ve got some suggestions for you.
Last week, Grey’s Anatomy returned to the fun show I fell in love with in the early years of the series. We got introduced to a whole new cast of characters and followed these new interns throughout their day. It was fun to hear their various nicknames for and preconceptions of our veteran doctors. Meanwhile, Meredith was contacting all of Derek’s sisters to see if one of them would donate a nerve for their brother’s hand surgery.
I really enjoyed last week’s episode, as it reminded me a lot of how the series began—except that this time, we know all about these older doctors that the interns are gossiping about. I liked having these fresh new faces on the show, and I’m looking forward to seeing our veteran doctors as mentors. I hope this starting again of sorts can breath some new life into the series, as I think many of the older characters have pretty much run their course.
On tonight’s episode, “Run, Baby, Run,” Bailey gets nervous as she prepares for her wedding, so Richard helps calm her down. Meanwhile, Lizzie clashes with Meredith; and Callie and Jackson attempt to persuade Derek to undergo a high-risk surgery to repair his hand.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Elementary, Last Resort, Up All Night, Take It All, Glee, The League, Sweet Genius, and Reality Show.

It’s bittersweet that The Big Bang Theory has already reached its fall finale—sad that we’ll have a few weeks without new episodes, but happy it’s not the season finale yet! This season has been hilarious so far, and I’ve been loving all the dynamics between Sheldon and Amy. Poor Howie… There’s still no one as amazed by his space travel as he is—he should be proud. After all, how often does a geeky Jewish boy get to go to space? Regardless, this is a fabulous show that never fails to deliver the giggles for me.
On tonight’s episode, “The Santa Simulation,” during a game, Sheldon revisits Christmas memories. Penny, Amy, and Bernadette try to find Raj a date.
To see if the girls can find a woman that Raj will actually talk to, tune into CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of The Big Bang Theory @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching Grey’s Anatomy, Elementary, Glee, Person of Interest, The X Factor, Last Resort, and The Vampire Diaries.
After dropping Glee halfway through the third season, I started watching again this season after hearing some very positive things. And while the show still has issues (Sue hitting students, Marley’s eating disorder, the new “love triangle” that I can’t seem to invest in), having to focus the stories between Lima and New York really works. With New Directions being disqualified during sectionals, it’s interesting what bylaw or creative ruling/writing will get them back in the competition.
On tonight’s episode, “Glee, Actually,” (an adaptation of Love, Actually), Sam and Brittany spend their final days together before the Mayan apocalypse, Puck and Jake spend quality time for Hanukah, and Kurt has a Christmas he’ll never forget.
Find out how all the stories come together on FOX at 9/8c. Learn where to find episodes online of Glee @ Clicker.
I’ll also be watching The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries, Up All Night (twice, and the final single-camera episodes), and Two and a Half Men.
