Yesterday, I learned a valuable lesson about leaving my laptop within the reach of my three-year-old son and leaving the room for a few minutes. He’s like a mini-Houdini, I swear! When I got back, (I swear, not more than five minutes), he’d pulled all the keys off my laptop. A time out and a couple hours of grunt work, my laptop is working with most of the keys on. Now, while I continue to learn lessons the hard way, check out what I think you should be watching.
One thing that this time of year always brings is a new season of So You Think You Can Dance, which has been my favorite dance show from the beginning. I am a little concerned to hear that they have brought Justin Bieber on this season to introduce the dance crews that will be fighting for the public’s votes in a hope to the be the top group. Another big change this season is that they are going back to the only one-winner scenario instead of one male and one female. I couldn’t be happier. Honestly, for me, SYTYCD got a little stagnant when we stopped making it a competition to the last person standing. Regardless of the format or crazy guest star announcers (Let’s hope the Biebs isn’t drunk, angry, or driving, because the last thing we Canadians need is that boy making a fool of himself yet again…), it’s going to be a great season, I’m sure. I’m looking forward to the guest judges for the revolving chair and hope that Jesse Tyler Ferguson makes a repeat appearance, because he is one of my favorite judges ever besides Mia.
On tonight’s season premiere, “Auditions #1,” dancers try to wow the judges during their auditions.
To see who has all the right moves, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.
I’ll also be watching World Music Awards and The 100.
