Tonight is the series premiere of The Last Ship on TNT at 9/8c. Based on William Brinkley’s popular novel, starring Eric Dane (Grey’s Anatomy), and executive-produced by blockbuster filmmaker Michael Bay (Transformers), The Last Ship opens with a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world’s population. Because of its positioning, the Navy destroyer U.S.S. Nathan James avoids falling victim to the devastating tragedy. But now, Captain Tom Chandler (Dane) and his crew must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors. Rhona Mitra (Strike Back) plays Rachel Scott, a strong-willed, intelligent and fearless paleomicrobiologist assigned to the ship. Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Chuck) is XO Mike Slattery, a former homicide detective and Chandler’s second-in-command. Also starring in The Last Ship are Travis Van Winkle (Heart of Dixie), Charles Parnell (Pariah), Christina Elmore (Fruitvale Station), Sam Spruell (Snow White and The Huntsman), and Marissa Neitling (Leverage).

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Musketeers on BBC America at 9/8c. A fresh and contemporary take on the classic Alexandre Dumas characters, The Musketeers is set on the streets of seventeenth century Paris, where law and order is an idea more than a reality. In addition to being King Louis XIII’s personal bodyguards, Athos, Aramis, and Porthos stand resolutely for social justice, honor, valor, love – and for the thrill of it. Luke Pasqualino (Skins, The Borgias) stars as D’Artagnan, alongside Tom Burke (Great Expectations, The Hour) as Athos, Santiago Cabrera (Merlin, Heroes) as Aramis, and Howard Charles (Royal Shakespeare Company) as Porthos. Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, The Hour, The Thick Of It), Maimie McCoy (Loving Miss Hatto), Tamla Kari (Cuckoo, The Inbetweeners), and Hugo Speer (Bedlam) also star in the series. Additionally, viewers can expect to see guest cast including JJ Feild (Captain America: The First Avenger), Vincent Regan (Snow White and the Huntsman), Ashley Walters (Inside Men), Amy Nuttall (Downton Abbey), Tara Fitzgerald (Waking the Dead), Annabelle Wallis (X-Men: First Class), Zoe Tapper (Mr Selfridge), Vinnie Jones (Snatch), and Sean Pertwee (Elementary).

Tonight is also the 2-hour series premiere of Rising Star on ABC at 9/8c. Internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter Josh Groban, country music superstar Brad Paisley, pop music sensation Kesha, and hip hop artist and actor Ludacris are judges on this new show, which completely reinvents the traditional singing competition as, for the first time ever, the audience has the final say in real time. The show follows a group of aspiring singers as they perform live. During the performances, viewers vote in real time via an App to determine if the singer will advance in the competition. If the voting reaches a certain threshold, the performer moves on. In addition, the performer can see how the voting is going throughout the performance, so the feedback is immediate and dramatic.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Frankenfood on Spike TV at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. Step aside chicken and waffles, buffalo wings and chili cheese dogs, Spike TV is looking to find the newest food craze. Amateur chefs will step up to the plate, literally, to prove their dish is the best new “Frankenfood,” a revolutionary creation that mixes outrageous and unexpected ingredients to create new delicious and unique flavors. From a triple-decker pastrami donut sandwich to fried PB&J fish sticks and Gyro egg rolls to a cheesecake burger, the food creations on this series range from the good, the bad and the truly inedible! Each half-hour episode features the best and worst local amateur food innovators competing head-to-head in order to get their unexpected food concoctions onto the menu of a popular local restaurant, win a $10,000 cash grand prize and possibly create the next big food craze. Viewers will get a look into the kitchen to see how these budding culinary artists whip up their inventive food combinations and find out the inspiration behind their dishes. Ranging from old family recipes to regional specialties and even hangover remedies, Frankenfood will bring to light some of the most mouth-watering and sometimes stomach churning combinations ever conceived. Chef Josh Capon & entertainer and restaurateur Tony Luke, Jr. judge.

Gabi is desperate for the job and must prove herself, mostly to Josh’s aide (Rex Lee, Entourage), who prefers a famous chef for the job. When Josh enlists Gabi to prepare a romantic meal for him and his girlfriend, the dinner goes awry and Gabi finds herself in a very awkward position. Following that, it’s the series premiere of Mystery Girls on ABC Family at 8:30/7:30c. The mansions are bigger, the high-rises are taller, the amenities are more lux and the locals have access to amazing views, beaches and a lifestyle unlike anywhere else in the world. Business can get heated as the brokers attempt to make a name for themselves and outshine their competition by landing the next big listing.

A highly skilled driver, Leo is a charming French African from Marseille. Realizing Leo lied on his immigration forms, Cat offers him a deal: In exchange for his driving skills and taxi, she will help Leo with his immigration problem.
