hawaiifiveo26smallI’ve been having a rough time lately with health issues, and as cheesy as it sounds, it’s my favorite shows that get me through the bad stretches. One of those shows is Hawaii Five-0. Last week’s episode was full of intense moments, and it brought us the return of Joe, who has been away for a while and not in contact with Steve. Joe is working private security, and he needed Steve’s help to protect a patient that was being taken to the CDC on the island. He was the first American to get a super-powered strain of the bird flu, and it could become a terrorist weapon if it fell into the wrong hands. Steve was really quick to start talking to Joe about what his mother did to Wo Fat’s mother and how it was a crime, but their chat got cut short when they were ambushed by a crane hitting their SUV, and the patient was kidnapped. The rest of the episode consisted of them all racing around the island to figure out where the patient was and stopping the terrorist group before they used the virus to cause mass destruction to Hawaii and ultimately the world. Thankfully, they succeeded, but Joe was exposed, so he was going to be in isolation until they were sure he didn’t have it. That was a good time for Steve to bug the room, after lying to Joe, saying that he trusted him. I’m interested to see what Steve finds out from his spying and if it leads to uncovering more of the truth.

On tonight’s episode, “Powehiwehi (Blackout),” while Five-0 hunts for a notorious criminal who has never been seen, Kono must fight for her life when she discovers the villain’s identity. Also, Kono confesses to Adam that she’s conflicted about their future together because of his ties to his formerly corrupt family business. Michael Imperioli guest stars.

To see if Kono and Adam can make it through this, tune in to CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching Grimm, 12 Monkeys, Blue Bloods, Undercover Boss, Hart of Dixie, Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, and Constantine.

grimm26smallGood news for Grimm fans—yesterday, NBC announced it has picked up the series for a fifth season! That’s great news, as this season is already off to a wonderful start. It’s been a lot of fun having Wu finally be a part of the in-the-know gang. Last week, the guys investigated the death of a ghosthunter who was mysteriously electrocuted in a haunted house with no power. While his friends believed a ghost was responsible for the murder, Nick and the guys soon discovered they were dealing with a Wesen. Meanwhile, Monroe and Rosalee were away on their long-overdue honeymoon; Juliette secretly feared she was permanently becoming a Hexenbiest; and the captain was also having some issues—the bullet holes in his chest were re-appearing.

What is going on with Juliette, and can her situation be reversed? Will she need to confront Adalind in order to get her condition resolved? And what about the baby—we haven’t heard anything more on that front! Will Renard be able stop his old wounds from returning before they kill him again—and is this somehow related to what’s happening to Juliette? How will Nick and the others react when they learn about all of these things that are happening?

On tonight’s episode, “Marechaussee,” Nick and Hank investigate a series of murders that lead to a mysterious Wesen bounty hunter; Juliette’s meeting with Henrietta results in more disturbing news than expected; and Viktor makes his way back to Portland with Adalind.

Find out what news Juliette learns tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Cristela, Glee, King of the Nerds, 12 Monkeys, Helix, Banshee, and Newsreaders.
