If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/3/15

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Megan’s Choice

hellskitchen33smallIt’s time for another season of Hell’s Kitchen, and even though this show is in its 14th season, I can’t get enough. I love cooking competition shows, but no matter how many new ones come out, this one is still at the top of my list because of the crazy antics that get brought out with all the chefs. The group of chefs this season appears to be quite the smorgasbord, but it is definitely going to be a hot season with drama, because this bunch looks feisty. I’m going to start a count of how many times someone messes up scallops in the season premiere.

On tonight’s episode, “18 Chefs Compete,” Chef Ramsay asks 18 new contestants to present their signature dishes in front of an audience, and the winning team earns a night with William Shatner; one team gets kicked out of the kitchen during the first dinner service.

To see how this group of 18 handles the heat in Ramsay’s kitchen, tune in to FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching The Voice, Fresh Off the Boat, Pretty Little Liars, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Mindy Project, Chopped, Chicago Fire, and Gangland Undercover.

Kyle’s Choice

agentsofshield33smallTonight, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is finally back after a three-month hiatus. Before the break, we finally got Skye’s origin story, as she was forced to confront her father. We learned that her real identity is that of Daisy Johnson (better known as the Inhuman “Quake”) and that her father is actually Calvin Zabo (better known as the villain “Mister Hyde”). Meanwhile, Ward freed himself; FitzSimmons and Trip went looking for Mac and rigged The City with explosives, but Trip got trapped in the room during Skye’s transformation and was incinerated. And elsewhere, Coulson killed Whitehall just as he was about to kill Cal.

For those of us who haven’t read the comics, what does Skye’s transformation into Quake mean? Is she evil, good, or in some kind of superhero gray area, and what kind of superpowers does she have? What happened to Raina—is she also an inhuman, or did the Diviner kill her like it did Trip? And who was that guy with no eyes in the tag scene?! It’s been so long that those events feel like they were from last season! I’m looking forward to finally getting more new episodes!

On tonight’s episode, “Aftershocks,” in the wake of the war with Hydra, surprising ramifications surface and put the team’s solidarity at risk. Meanwhile, Hydra’s actions could unearth a traitor at S.H.I.E.L.D.

Catch up with the team tonight on ABC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Fresh Off the Boat, Repeat After Me, Forever, New Girl, The Mindy Project, Switched at Birth, Justified, Cougar Town, Sirens, Face Off, and Kroll Show.
