Tonight is the series premiere of Long Lost Family on TLC at 10/9c. The show features the highly emotional and touching stories of people who have suffered a lifetime of separation and are yearning to be reunited with their birthparents and biological families or find children they had to place for adoption long ago. Either because of circumstance or fate, they’ve barely — if ever — met. Hosts and well-known television personalities Chris Jacobs and Lisa Joyner are both adoptees who have embarked on their own journeys to discover their biological families. Each episode follows the hosts as they investigate the stories of two individuals or families who have longed to resolve their lifelong searches. The stakes are incredibly high: a successful investigation offers the promise of not just a heartwarming reunion, but also a chance of redemption for people who have wrestled with emotional agony for years. There is no simple path to find the missing loved ones. With tightly held family secrets in their way, the odds are stacked against them. Lisa and Chris conduct painstaking searches through public records, and utilize the latest DNA technology in their search for answers. But what they discover, and who they find, is anything but expected.

Tonight is the series premiere of Little Big Shots on NBC at 10/9c. This new comedic alternative series is from two of the biggest names in comedy, executive producers Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey. As host, Harvey goes toe to toe with some of the smallest performers with the biggest talent in this new program featuring the world’s most extraordinary kids. Little Big Shots showcases young talent, from musicians, singers, and dancers to a 4-year-old basketball phenom, a 5-year-old reincarnation of Bruce Lee, and every form of wunderkind from around the globe. These gifted performers will awe the nation with their talents, slay us with their cuteness, and wow us with their accomplishments. These phenomenal kids show us once and for all that talent is born, not made.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Of Kings and Prophets on ABC at 10/9c. An epic biblical saga of faith, ambition and betrayal as told through the eyes of the battle-weary King Saul, the resentful prophet Samuel and the resourceful young shepherd David — all on a collision course with destiny that will change the world. One thousand years before Christ, the first king of the Israelites, Saul, struggles to unify the 12 Israelite tribes and defend his fledgling nation against savage enemy attacks. The prophet Samuel relays a message from God to King Saul that he must destroy one of Israel’s ancient enemies. But when Saul defies that message, Samuel prophesies that the Lord will tear the kingdom of Israel from him and choose another in his place. In time, Saul comes to realize that his greatest threat will not come from his enemies, but from the shepherd, David. Of Kings and Prophets stars Ray Winstone as King Saul, Olly Rix as David, Mohammad Bakri as Samuel, Simone Kessell as Queen Ahinoam, Nathaniel Parker as King Achish, Haaz Sleiman as Jonathan, James Floyd as Ishbaal, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Michal, Jeanine Mason as Merav, and David Walmsley as Joab.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Separation Anxiety on TBS at 10/9c. Comedian Iliza Shlesinger (Last Comic Standing) hosts this comedic, relationship-based game show featuring a unique twist that isn’t revealed to contestants until after they’ve played the game.

Tonight is the series premiere of 60 Days In on A&E at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10/9c. The show follows seven innocent participants who enter the dangerous world of incarceration at the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, Indiana, in an effort to expose internal issues and what really happens behind bars. As a result of the facility’s recent corrupt history, Sheriff Jamey Noel has devised a program where seven participants will live among the facility’s general population for 60 days without officers, fellow inmates, or staff knowing their secret. Around-the-clock cameras captured this unparalleled access in an effort to bring problems to light and give viewers a first-hand look as the participants adapt to unfamiliar and terrifying surroundings. 60 Days In is a warts-and-all view of what life is like behind bars, through the eyes of people who have never been charged with a crime or done time.

Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Flaked on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Flaked is the serio-comic story of Chip, a celebrated long-time resident of the insular world of Venice, California who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Five-time Emmy Award nominee Will Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies. The series also stars David Sullivan, Ruth Kearney and George Basil.

Finally, tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Netflix Presents: The Characters on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. One show. Eight comedians. Multiple personalities. In Netflix Presents: The Characters, the next generation of comedians get a chance that only Netflix could offer: the opportunity to create their own 30-minute episodes and do whatever they want. No rules. No limits. Each comedian writes and appears in his/her episode, presenting a series of sketches that veer wildly from Bachelor parodies, to music videos, to biblical spoofs…all in the name of outlaw comedy. The show features: Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is The New Black, Jurassic World), Kate Berlant (The Meltdown), Dr. Brown (Dr. Brown), Paul W. Downs (Broad City), John Early (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp), Tim Robinson (Saturday Night Live), Natasha Rothwell (Writer, Saturday Night Live), and Henry Zebrowski (Heroes Reborn).
