Tonight is the series premiere of America’s Greatest Makers on TBS at 9/8c. Emmy(R)-winning producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, Shark Tank, The Voice) and TBS have brought together a panel of celebrity judges for this spring’s exciting new tech competition series, created in collaboration with Intel. The roster includes sports legends Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith; Emmy-nominated actress Mayim Bialik, who co-stars in the hit series The Big Bang Theory; and Massimo Banzi, maker and co-founder and CEO of Arduino, which makes popular development boards for inventors to create. In a first of its kind competition show, America’s Greatest Makers takes 24 teams of makers from across the country and puts them in head-to-head competition to invent game-changing technology for a chance to go home with $1 million.
Tonight is also the series premiere of Chasing Destiny on BET at 10:30/9:30c. The show takes us behind the scenes as Grammy-award singer Kelly Rowland, and member of one of the biggest female groups of all time Destiny’s Child, goes on a quest to find the next big female superstar group to make their mark in a dog-eat-dog music industry. In the series, these singing hopefuls will vie their way to stardom with recording mogul Rowland helping them to find their voice as entertainers.
