Tonight is the series premiere of 24: Legacy on FOX at 10:30/9:30c (or after the Super Bowl, so time may be off a bit…). When an attempt on U.S. Army Sergeant Eric Carter’s (Corey Hawkins, Straight Outta Compton) life is made after his return home from a mission to kill terrorist leader Bin Khalid, he discovers that he and his fellow Rangers’ identities have been compromised. Together they work to uncover a sophisticated terrorist network in a race against the clock to stop a devastating terrorist attack on United States soil. The show also stars Jimmy Smits (Sons of Anarchy), Anna Diop (The Messengers), Ashley Thomas, Raphael Acloque (Tyrant), Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Pena, Dan Bucatinsky (Scandal, Web Therapy, The Comeback), Sheila Vand (State of Affairs), & Teddy Sears (Masters of Sex, The Flash).

Tonight is the series premiere of APB on FOX at 9:01/8:01c. Police work isn’t rocket science. It’s harder. Inspired by the New York Times Magazine article “Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans,” by David Amsden, this is a new police drama with a high-tech twist from executive producer/director Len Wiseman (Lucifer, Sleepy Hollow) and executive producers and writers Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and Trey Callaway (The Messengers). Sky-high crime, officer-involved shootings, cover-ups and corruption: the over-extended and under-funded Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control. Enter billionaire engineer Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk, Tyrant, Weeds). After his best friend is murdered in a botched attempted robbery, and the killer remains at large, Gideon demands justice. Putting up millions of dollars of his own money, he makes an unprecedented deal to take charge of the troubled 13th District – and reboot it as a technically innovative police force: better, faster and smarter than anything seen before. With Gideon himself having created the department’s cutting-edge technology, this eccentric yet brilliant outsider challenges the city’s police force to rethink everything about the way they fight crime. But the near-overnight transition to becoming the city’s most advanced police district isn’t easy. Gideon knows if he’s going to change anything, he needs help, which he finds from Detective Theresa Murphy (Natalie Martinez, Kingdom, Under the Dome), an ambitious, street-smart cop who is willing to give Gideon’s technological changes a chance. With the help of Gideon’s gifted tech officer, Ada Hamilton (Caitlin Stasey, Reign), he and Murphy embark on a mission to turn the 13th District – including a skeptical Capt. Ned Conrad (Ernie Hudson, Grace and Frankie, Ghostbusters), and determined Officers Nicholas Brandt (Taylor Handley, Vegas, Southland) and Tasha Goss (Tamberla Perry, Boss) – into a dedicated crime-fighting force of the 21st century.

While pursuing her newest mark, Maddie meets a potential love interest, Patrick (Stephen Bishop, Being Mary Jane), which threatens to derail her assignment, much to the chagrin of her mysterious boss, The Doctor. Tonight is the series premiere of So Cosmo on E! at 8/7c.The show is set at the glamorous epi-center of pop culture, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and follows the work hard, play hard lifestyles of the young women and men whose real life experiences inspire the pages of Cosmopolitan. Viewers will see how these staffers cope when pushed past their limits by the influential but formidable former Editor-in-Chief and current Chief Content Officer of Hearst Magazines, Joanna Coles, who expects only the best. The eight hour-long episode series uncovers the glamour and behind-the-scenes drama of these trendsetter’s celebrity encounters, fashion and beauty shoots that occur at Cosmopolitan. While the all access, VIP life provided by Cosmo is exhilarating and exhausting, this ambitious crew know what it takes to be “So Cosmo!”

Tonight is also the series premiere of Legion on FX at 10/9c. Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens) – a troubled young man who may be more than human. Diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. Now in his early 30s and institutionalized once again, David loses himself in the rhythm of the structured regimen of life in the hospital: breakfast, lunch, dinner, therapy, medications, sleep. David spends the rest of his time in companionable silence alongside his chatterbox friend Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), a fellow patient whose life-long drug and alcohol addiction has done nothing to quell her boundless optimism that her luck is about to change. The pleasant numbness of David’s routine is completely upended with the arrival of a beautiful and troubled new patient named Syd (Rachel Keller). Inexplicably drawn to one another, David and Syd share a startling encounter, after which he must confront the shocking possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees are the result of him being a mutant. A haunted man, David escapes from the hospital and seeks shelter with his sister Amy (Katie Aselton). But Amy’s concern for her brother is trumped by her desire to protect the picture perfect suburban life she’s built for herself. Eventually, Syd guides David to Melanie Bird (Jean Smart), a nurturing but demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods. She and her team of specialists – Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Kerry (Amber Midthunder), and Cary (Bill Irwin) – open David’s eyes to an extraordinary new world of possibilities.

Tonight is the complete first season premiere of The Collection on Amazon at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. This is a gripping family saga where scandal and betrayal plague the Sabine family’s relentless pursuit of success. Set in a post-war Parisian fashion house, the Sabines have been tasked with restoring the city’s supremacy as the haute couture capital. The series explores the grit behind the glamour of a rising business run by two clashing brothers. Paul, played by Richard Coyle (Coupling, Crossbones), is the face and the business sense while Claude, played by Tom Riley (Da Vinci’s Demons), is the creative genius. They’re nothing without each other but their rivalry, deception and the hateful bargains they made to survive the Nazi occupation could threaten to topple this “first family” of fashion’s empire at any moment. The season explores the constant question, will their tenuous relationship and the ghosts of their past destroy their meteoric success? The show also stars Frances de la Tour, Jenna Thiam, & Mamie Gummer.
