If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/13/17

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

“In the not-too-distant future, next Sunday A.D., there was a guy named Joel, not too different than you or me…”

Mystery Science Theater 3000 aired from 1988 to 1999, immediately becoming a cult hit. My husband was a HUGE fan. Joel Robinson (played by show creator Joel Hodgson) was shot into space and forced to watch bad movies while a mad scientist and his crony monitored his mind. Joel built some lovable robot sidekicks to help him keep his sanity. What made it seriously unique was just the way the characters watched the movies and the commentary we got to watch/listen to. Really funny stuff.

In 2015, fans of the series donated to a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign to reboot the show for a brand new, 14-episode season. Original creator Joel Hodgson will be joined by comedian Jonah Ray (also known as Jonah Heston) as the new host and Felicia Day (Geek & Sundry) as “Kinga Forrester.”

If you’ve never seen the show before, Netflix has Season One up if you’re interested!

The complete new season comes out on Netflix tonight at 3:01AM/2:01AMc.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, MasterChef: Junior, Trial & Error, The Great Indoors, Chicago Med, The Amazing Race, Beat Bobby Flay, & Impractical Jokers.

Megan’s Choice

I found last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory incredibly funny because Sheldon was very much out of his element. When he attempted to be everywhere at once, he ended up wearing himself out and getting sick, which led to the bad choice of using cold medicine. Apparently Sheldon doesn’t do well with this medicine and ended up forgetting his whole day when he woke up with no pants on Leonard’s couch. After retracing his steps, they found that he had quite the day, including leaking government secrets to a country bar full of people.

On tonight’s episode, “The Separation Agitation,” Howard and Bernadette have a hard time leaving Halley in day care when Bernadette returns to work. Also, Bert introduces the gang to his new girlfriend, Rebecca.

Find out what Rebecca is like tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching The Amazing Race, Chicago Med, Kicking and Screaming, MasterChef: Junior, and Grey’s Anatomy.
