Kyle’s Choice

Tonight, the first season of FOX’s The Mick comes to a close. Last week, Sabrina decided she wanted to get implants, so Mickey asked the doctor to borrow some implants for a test run, in hopes of dissuading her, but the plan backfired, as Sabrina noticed that her enhanced bosom gave her more looks and influence. They headed to a restaurant, where Mickey assumed that Sabrina would pay, but she had left her credit card with the doctor as a deposit. As they tried to dine and dash, one of the implants fell out, and they tried to find a way to get it back. They called Alba for help, but she showed up high on mushrooms and just made things worse. Meanwhile, Jimmy decided to teach Chip and Ben how to be more masculine by taking them to a baseball game. As Chip headed off alone for a relaxing time in the deluxe suite, Jimmy taught Ben how to start a fight. And the guys he got kicked out were waiting for them outside after the game.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this first season of The Mick. The writers have come up with some pretty wacky situations for these characters, and no matter who gets paired up for the story lines, there’s always a lot of fun craziness that ensues. I’m looking forward to tonight’s finale – will they leave us with some kind of cliffhanger involving the parents returning? Or will it just be one final madcap episode before the series returns next season?

On tonight’s episode, “The Intruder,” in the Season 1 finale, the kids nab a pair of intruders trying to break into the mansion. Later, to protect the children, Mickey must deal with a case of mistaken identity.

Find out whose identity is mistaken and who tried to break in tonight on FOX at 8:31/7:31c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, Imaginary Mary, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Great News, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Prison Break, The Flash, iZombie, and The Americans.

Jenny’s Choice

Chicago Fire really tugged on our heartstrings last week, between the death of Casey’s old friend’s squad – leaving his friend the only survivor – and Severide learning that Anna’s cancer is back and is in her bones. Casey’s friend, Kannell, who he grew up with, gave his statement and took full blame for the explosion that killed his friends/coworkers. Together, Casey and Boden figured out it couldn’t have happened like he said it, and even though Kannell told Casey what really happened, he is determined to take the blame, to protect his lieutenant’s memory. As for Severide, Stella convinced him something was up with Anna when she told him there was no way she’d just up and leave him and her job without a good reason. After a visit from Anna’s dad, Severide went back to visit Anna and now together, they are facing the likelihood that she’ll die from the cancer. Just sad all around.

The one bright, funny spot was the retraining class that Brett and Dawson had to take. Loved Dawson’s reaction to the instructor, only to find out the sexy guy was in the wrong room. And then poor Brett, who stressed over it all so much and was worried about passing the exam, even though she got a 98 percent, got beat out by Dawson, who had a very lazy, bored attitude about it and still ended up scoring 100 percent. Hehe Brett’s face and Dawson’s reluctance to share her score were great.

On tonight’s episode, “Carry Me,” Casey goes to drastic measures to help his friend Kannell (guest star Kamal Angelo Bolden). Lt. Severide helps an old widow come to terms with letting go but realizes he may be the one needing help. Otis and Cruz deal with surprises when they find a new roommate to move in. Dawson and Brett get crafty to save a young girl.

See if Casey and Severide can help Kannell and Anna tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chopped Junior, NCIS, Great News, Prison Break, Imaginary Mary, Chopped, & NCIS: New Orleans.

Megan’s Choice

NCIS: New Orleans has been dragging our emotions through the mud lately, and I for one need to have some sort of conclusion sooner rather than later. Percy was arrested last week after she willingly allowed a suspect to escape because she felt that Nadine deserved to be able to complete her mission to help the victims who were being murdered by their country. During this investigation, Pride messed up and ended up burning his wiretap evidence on the mayor by showing his hand too soon to have the man arrested. This all led to the mayor getting the Justice Department to come after Pride and his team – hence Percy being arrested. I’m very hopeful that we will finally see something solid happen in concern to the mayor, because that story is getting old. [And note from Jenny: We got a bit of a baby step in the Lasalle/Percy relationship, when he saw her with a good-looking guy before work and saw him kiss her. She got him to admit he was jealous. Awesome!]

On tonight’s episode, “Knockout,” after the Belle Chase Navy Chaplain and pastor at Clearwater Baptist is murdered, Pride believes he found a connection between Mayor Hamilton and the illegal activity taking place in the city of Clearwater. Also, Percy continues to face repercussions of her choices on a previous case.

To see if Pride can finally link Hamilton to this debacle, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching Bull, NCIS, Great News, The Voice, Prison Break, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chopped, and Chopped Junior.
