I can’t believe they went there on NCIS: LA last week! After Sam’s wife, Michelle, was kidnapped by Tahir Khalid’s guys, I thought for sure the team would find her before time ran out. Unfortunately, though they were at the right place earlier in the day, they didn’t KNOW it, and by the time they figured it out and Deeks and Kensi rushed in, killing all the bad guys in the building, Michelle was already dead from running out of oxygen in the small freezer she’d been kept in. It was absolutely heartbreaking to watch Sam get there slowly walk in to uncover his wife’s body and see her for himself. Until that moment, I wasn’t sure if she were alive or dead, and I nearly cried, knowing how much he had to be hurting.

One other thing that was interesting about the episode… Sabatino was back – and he got Sidorov out of prison to allow the team to try to get some real answers about Michelle’s kidnapping. Sabatino told them it should prove that he wasn’t involved in trying to bring the team down before. Can we trust him on that? I have no idea…

So what will happen on tonight’s season finale? Will Sam get his revenge against Khalid? Even if he does, will he destroy his life and his future to get it, leaving his kids without both of their parents? What about the rest of the team? Will Deeks FINALLY propose to Kensi, in the wake of Sam’s devastating loss? Will we get a definitive answer about Sabatino? And will the show set up any story lines for next season?

On tonight’s episode, “Unleashed,” following the kidnapping of Sam’s wife, Michelle Hanna, Sam goes rogue from the NCIS team and attempts to stop his arch nemesis Tahir Khaled (guest star Anslem Richardson) from ever targeting his family again. Erik Palladino also guest stars.

To see how it works out for Sam and the team, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, Little Big Shots, Chicago Justice, Iron Chef Gauntlet, Match Game, & Iron Chef Eats.

HBO’s Silicon Valley is off to a great start this season. Dinesh took over as CEO of Pied Piper, but soon afterwards he discovered that his Piper Chat app had a large underage userbase, making him potentially liable for billions of dollars worth of legal infractions. Fortunately, he was able to offload the app to an unsuspecting Gavin Belson, but when Hooli discovered this legal nightmare, they immediately fired him. Meanwhile, Richard gained access to Peter Gregory’s old research about creating a new internet, only to discover that Gavin Belson held a key patent that he would need to move forward. Meanwhile, Monica tried to con a fellow Raviga employee into financing Elrich’s latest “See Food” scam with Jian-Yang, but her plan to get ahead in the company ended up backfiring when she was put in charge of the account. And Big Head enrolled in college, but when he showed up to his first class, he realized there had been some kind of miscommunication and he was supposed to be lecturing to the class, not attending it.

I was shocked that Gavin finally lost his job – it seemed like no matter what horrible mistake he made, Gavin would always find a way to shift the blame and move onward and upwards. However, it doesn’t look like he’ll be out of a job for long. He has that patent that Richard needs, so Richard is likely going to have to make a deal with the devil. This should be a lot of fun! Meanwhile, how is Monica going to rein in Elrich and try to get a viable product out of him, especially since he and Jian-Yang are not even on the same page? And what kind of product are the Pied Piper guys going to focus on?

On tonight’s episode, “Teambuilding Exercise,” Jared worries about Richard when he reaches out to an unlikely ally; Gilfoyle gets serious about security after Dinesh’s latest dalliance; Erlich grows concerned about Jian-Yang’s commitment to his app.

See who Richard reaches out to tonight on HBO at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Match Game, Madam Secretary, The Leftovers, Veep, and American Gods.
