Tonight is the series premiere of Criminal Confessions on Oxygen at 7/6c. The series delves into the psychological showdown that transpires inside actual police interrogation rooms between investigators and suspects and dissects what it takes to yield a confession. Each hour-long episode takes viewers through the emotional twists and turns of a real homicide case from the 911 call to the crime scene and leading up to the interrogation room where detectives corner their prime suspect. The police officers and detectives will walk us through their strategy while interviews with the suspects’ and victims’ friends and family shed light on the heartbreaking details, taking viewers on an emotional journey with the hope of finding justice. In every case, the interrogating officer will “break” the suspect and get a shocking reveal of what led to the atrocious crime.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Ghosted on FOX at 8:30/7:30c. Starring Craig Robinson (The Office) and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), this is a single-camera, action-comedy about the unlikely partnership between two down-on-their-luck polar opposites tasked with an even more unlikely mission: saving the human race from aliens. Leroy Wright (Robinson) is a cynical skeptic and former missing persons detective, who, if we’re speaking frankly, thinks that “aliens” are a big ole bunch of B.S. and that people who believe in them are certifiably nuts…People like Max Jennifer (Scott). Max is a genius “true believer” in the paranormal who’s convinced his wife was abducted by aliens. At low points in their lives, both Leroy and Max are recruited by Captain Ava Lafrey (Ally Walker, Sons of Anarchy), a take-no-prisoners, former Air Force test pilot and head of the Bureau Underground, a secret government organization investigating paranormal cases. Lafrey, along with her staff — Barry Shaw (Adeel Akhtar, Unforgotten, The Night Manager), an overly friendly forensic pathologist, and Delilah Ward, a highly opinionated tech specialist — will support Leroy and Max in their quest for answers. Now, this heroic group of underdogs will look into “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles that often leads them to scary, thrilling and hilarious places, as they attempt to uncover the truth and keep the earth rotating on its axis for at least one more day.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Wisdom of the Crowd on CBS at 8:30/7:30c. The show stars Jeremy Piven as a visionary tech innovator who creates a cutting-edge crowdsourcing app to solve his daughter’s murder, and revolutionizes crime solving in the process. Inspired by the notion that a million minds are better than one, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jeffrey Tanner (Piven) develops “Sophe,” an online platform for publicly shared information, and recruits the original cop who searched for his daughter’s killer, Det. Tommy Cavanaugh (Richard T. Jones), to work with him. As Tanner taps into the “wisdom of the crowd,” his unexpected success fuels his determination to solve even more cases than just the one that’s personal to him. The show also stars Blake Lee, Jake Matthews, Monica Potter, & Natalia Tena.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Extinct on BYUtv at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:52/8:52c. Created exclusively for BYUtv by New York Times bestselling author Aaron Johnston and “Ender’s Game” author and science-fiction legend Orson Scott Card, Extinct stars Chad Michael Collins (Sniper), Victoria Atkin (Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate), and Yorke Fryer (How to Get Away with Murder). In Extinct, 400 years after the extinction of humankind by evil aliens called the Kariks, a colony of revived humans, the Reborns, attempt to understand and trust a group of mysterious, peaceful and highly advanced aliens known as the Originators who brought them back to life. The Reborns are guided by Drones who are the face and voice of the Originators. They guide and protect the Reborns throughout their fight against the Kariks, and the parasitic Skin Riders who take control of a “host” or person’s cognitive abilities, to restore the human race and end the alien threat that drove mankind to extinction.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Ten Days in the Valley on ABC at 10/9c. The show stars Kyra Sedgwick as Jane Sadler, an overworked television producer and single mother in the middle of a separation whose life is turned upside down when her young daughter goes missing in the middle of the night. Just like her controversial police TV show, everything is a mystery, everyone has a secret and no one can be trusted. It also stars Abigail Pniowsky, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Erika Christensen, Felix Solis, Francois Battiste, Josh Randall, Kick Gurry, & Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

Tonight is the series premiere of 9JKL on CBS at 8:31/7:31c. The show stars Mark Feuerstein in a family comedy inspired by his real life. Josh Roberts (Feuerstein) is a new divorcé and actor between projects who moves home to New York to regroup, living in an apartment sandwiched between his doting, meddlesome parents on one side and his competitive brother, sister-in-law and their new baby on the other. As Josh’s family literally comes at him from both sides, he realizes he desperately needs to establish some personal boundaries, because his loving family is always going to be right there for him. Always. Also starring are Elliott Gould, Linda Lavin, David Walton, Liza Lapira, & Matt Murray.

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Gifted on FOX at 9/8c. The show tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Reed (Stephen Moyer, True Blood) and Caitlin (Amy Acker, Person of Interest, Angel) Strucker are typical middle-class parents dealing with the realities of raising a family. However, when their teenage kids, Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind, Gotham) and Andy (Percy Hynes White, Night at the Museum 3), are involved in an incident at their high school which reveals they are mutants, Reed and Caitlin do all in their power to protect their children. Forced to go on the run, the Struckers must leave behind their old lives to flee from a relentless government agency that tracks down mutants, the Sentinel Services, which includes Agent Jace Turner (Coby Bell, Burn Notice). Complicating matters further is the fact that Reed is a prosecutor in the district attorney’s office tasked with going after mutants. Desperate and running low on options, the family’s only choice is to contact an underground network that helps mutants in trouble. The mutants in the network — Eclipse/Marcos Diaz (Sean Teale, Reign), Blink/Clarice Fong (Jamie Chung, Gotham), Polaris/Lorna Dane (Emma Dumont, Aquarius), and Thunderbird/John Proudstar (Blair Redford, Satisfaction) — are dealing with their own issues. With one of their members in prison and their team possibly compromised, they face an uncertain future in a world that looks increasingly dangerous for mutants. This is a story of survival, a story of mutants coming to terms with who they are, a story of parents accepting the fact that their kids aren’t who they thought they were and loving them just the same…even if all of their lives are at risk because of it.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Mayor on ABC at 9:30/8:30c. Young rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall) needs his big break. For years, he’s toiled away in a small inner-city apartment, making music in his junk-filled bedroom closet. Tired of waiting for opportunity, Courtney cooks up the publicity stunt of the century: running for mayor of his hometown in California to generate buzz for his music career. Unfortunately for Courtney, his master plan goes wildly awry, ending in the most terrifying of outcomes: an election victory. With the help of his mother (Yvette Nicole Brown, Community) and friends, including Valentina (Glee’s Lea Michele), Courtney will have to overcome his hubris if he wants to transform the struggling city he loves. The show also stars Bernard David Jones & Marcel Spears.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Ink Master: Angels on Spike TV at 10/9c. The series features four of Ink Master Season 8’s top female competitors — Ryan Ashley, Kelly Doty, Nikki Simpson, and Gia Rose — as they travel the country and go head to head with some of America’s most talented tattoo artists. Competitors will face a variety of tattoo-based challenges to see who has what it takes to beat the “Angels” and earn a spot on Season 10 of Ink Master.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Kevin (Probably) Saves the World on ABC at 10/9c. Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter, Parenthood, Joan of Arcadia), a cluelessly self-serving person, is on a dangerous path to despair. In a downward spiral, Kevin returns home to stay with his widowed twin sister (JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Once Upon a Time, Reba) and niece. On his first night there, an unlikely celestial being named Yvette (Kimberly Hebert Gregory, Vice Principals) appears to him and presents him with a mission: to save the world. Tonight is the series premiere of Ghost Wars on Syfy at 10/9c. The show is set in a remote Alaskan town that has been overrun by paranormal forces. Local outcast Roman Mercer (Avan Jogia, Tut, Victorious) must overcome the town’s prejudices and his own personal demons to harness his repressed psychic powers in order to save everyone from the mass haunting threatening to destroy them all. The series also stars Vincent D’Onofrio (Law & Order: CI), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica, Hemlock Grove), Kristin Lehman (Motive), and Meatloaf (Fight Club).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Real Estate Wars on Bravo at 10/9c. With limited inventory in a premium area, this series follows two top rival real estate teams, the McMonigle Team and Relegance Group, as they fight for supremacy in this distinct and wealthy enclave. It’s the ultimate turf battle in the O.C., and things get tense when realty and reality collide. John McMonigle was formerly the number one real estate agent in the country, but lost everything when the real estate market crashed, ultimately forcing him into bankruptcy. John, never a man to stay down, rebuilt his empire with five ambitious agents to create The McMonigle Team, with one of their primary goals being to beat the Relegance Group. Relegance is made up of five zealous agents, including the “real estate queen” of Orange County, Jojo Romeo, who happens to have a contentious past with John. As an estranged employee of John’s, she became determined to join Relegance and help them become the #1 team in the O.C. However, it’s a small world, and when they vie for the same high end clients, limited listings and large commissions, the competition can be ruthless. With 10 agents, eccentric clients, multi-million-dollar deals, old vendettas, and one common goal of winning, all is fair in real estate and war.

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of Suburra on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Based on the fascinating and successful novel written by Giancarlo De Cataldo and Carlo Bonini, the show takes inspiration from a real political scandal that broke out in the Italian capital. Suburra is however a prequel, set a few years before the real events took place. Church, politics, organized crime, local gangs and real estate developers collide and blur the lines between the legal and the illicit and their quest for power is the overriding theme in this unique crime thriller. The show stars Adamo Dionisi, Alessandro Borghi, Claudia Gerini, Eduardo Valdarnini, Filippo Nigro, Francsco Acquaroli, & Giacomo Ferrara.
