Tonight is the series premiere of S.W.A.T. on CBS at 10/9c. A locally born SWAT sergeant, former Marine Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Shemar Moore, Criminal MInds), is newly tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Torn between loyalty to where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, Hondo has everything it takes to be an excellent leader and bridge the divide between his two worlds. His elite unit includes David “Deacon” Kay (Jay Harrington), an experienced SWAT officer who always puts the team first, despite feeling overlooked for the lead job; Jim Street (Alex Russell), a cocky but promising new member of the group; Christina “Chris” Alonso (Lina Esco), a skilled officer and the team’s canine trainer; Dominique Luca (Kenny Johnson), an expert driver who gets them in and out of high risk situations; and Victor Tan (David Lim), a relatively new SWAT officer who uses his confidential informants in the community to help the team. Overseeing the unit is Jessica Cortez (Stephanie Sigman), the captain of L.A. Metro who values her job above all else, including her off-the-books relations with Hondo. Hondo’s team enjoys an intense rivalry with another L.A.-based unit led by Mumford (Peter Onorati), an aggressive leader who likes to do things his way. With Hondo leading the charge, these dedicated men and women bravely put themselves at risk to protect their community and save lives. Louis Ferreira & Patrick St. Esprit are recurring.
 
Tonight is also the complete first season premiere of Alias Grace on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. The story follows Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon), a poor, young Irish immigrant and domestic servant in Upper Canada who, along with stable hand James McDermott (Kerr Logan), was convicted of the brutal murders of their employer, Thomas Kinnear, and his housekeeper, Nancy Montgomery (Anna Paquin), in 1843. James was hanged while Grace was sentenced to life imprisonment. Grace became one of the most enigmatic and notorious women of 1840s Canada for her supposed role in the sensational double murder, and was eventually exonerated after 30 years in jail. Her conviction was controversial, and sparked much debate about whether Grace was actually involved in the murder, or merely an unwitting accessory.

Tonight is the series premiere of Finding Escobar’s Millions on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. At one time Pablo Escobar — the most wanted man on the planet — buried masses of his estimated multi-billion-dollar fortune all over Colombia. Legends say the vast majority of it has never been found. With never-before-granted access and permission in Colombia, two former intelligence officers armed with the skills and training from 10 years of work in the CIA go on the hunt for the alleged hidden treasure. Doug Laux and Ben Smith, former CIA operations officers who served multiple tours throughout the Middle East, work with the original DEA agents that handled the case to infiltrate Escobar’s inner circle in search of the cash. This elite team uses unprecedented access to technology, a never-before-seen CIA tradecraft skill set and numerous inside sources to scour Columbia for the money. Doug and Ben first set their sights on Barrio Escobar, a former trash dump that the drug lord transformed into a neighborhood, providing housing for the poor and homeless during his reign. To this day, Pablo Escobar is highly regarded in the neighborhood, and the residents continue to be loyal to his legacy. Doug and Ben connect with a local and make their way inside the Barrio in an all-out search for Escobar’s cash, but curiosity from area residents forces them to scale back their investigation. Throughout the season, Doug and Ben scour Columbia for clues Escobar left behind, but will the two former operatives uncover Escobar’s fortune and secrets, or will they come up empty-handed?

    I would love to see this schedule made more easier to read by posting it like it is in the insert of the Star Press. The time is spread on top of the page (in hours and half hours) and the station/channel runs down the side of the page.

      You can find schedules designed like that on a lot of other sites. My weekly schedule is just one big list, but the daily schedules are done several different ways so you can hopefully find a view you like best. Thank you for the suggestion, though. 🙂

        I like the way you publish this weekly listing. Thank you for doing it! I think Pattie was looking for an equivalent to an online TV guide. I like seeing what shows are new day to day. I like this format and hope you keep it up. THANKS!
