Tonight is the series premiere of Race Night at Bowman Gray on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Motor fans, start your engines! Bowman Gray Stadium is NASCAR’s first and longest running weekly track where the competition is intense, and the engines are powerful. As the summer heats up, the 70th race season for modified racing gets underway in Winston-Salem and the battle for the checkered flag has begun. With each race, enemies are made, rules are broken and only those willing to risk it all will win the season championship. Bowman Gray Stadium has been home to racing legends for decades and this season, the top competitors in modified racing – Burt Myers, Tim Brown, Jason Myers, George Brunnhoelzl III, and Jonathan Brown are revving up their engines to compete for the Points Championship. Burt Myers is the reigning Points Champion and Tim Brown has a solid claim as the best driver in the history of the stadium with ten Points Championships and 84 wins. After finishing in the Top 3 the last three years, Jason Myers is looking to take it all the way this season and George Brunnhoelzl III has won lots of races but is a newcomer to the Bowman Gray weekly series. The drivers will put their cars to the ultimate test and those who fall short will have to improve their skills and race cars each week in hopes of redemption on the track. Each week, the drivers risk their lives, money and pride on the most infamous short track in America. Leading up to race night, the drivers take part in a tire lottery, where tires are distributed by track officials through a lottery system to even out the playing field, a qualifying run, race meeting and weigh-in all before the green flag is waved. The cars are lightning fast, and the drivers must rely on true skill and hard work in the garage before and after each race because one wrong turn on the track can have fatal repercussions.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Nightly Pop on E! at 10:30/9:30c. E! brings its topical, unfiltered pop culture format to late night with its newest series, Nightly Pop. The show will deliver quick-witted, unexpected and relatable commentary centered around the biggest pop culture stories of the week, hosted by E! personalities Morgan Stewart and Nina Parker, along with social influencer Hunter March. The half hour-long weekly series will be Monday night’s candid breakdown of the most talked about entertainment news stories.

Finally, tonight is the complete first season premiere of The Degenerates on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Tonight is the 2-hour series premiere of Watergate on History Channel at 9/8c. The special six-hour, three-night event series chronicles one of the biggest criminal conspiracies in modern politics and features a roster of some of the most important media, legal and political figures from the scandal, including Carl Bernstein, Bob Woodward, John Dean, Jill Wine-Banks, Richard Ben-Veniste, and many others. The current political climate in the U.S. has triggered renewed interest in the Watergate scandal. The film explores many of the same issues being debated today on a national level, including executive privilege and the handling of Presidential misconduct.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Too Stupid to Die on MTV at 9:30/8:30c The highly anticipated series, developed with Zach Holmes, the online sensation and daredevil who was banned by YouTube, will feature bizarre pranks, hilarious antics and outrageous stunts.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Master of Arms on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. Centuries ago, the greatest empires leaned on the backs of weapon craftsmen to create the blades, bows and ballistics that would win wars and alter history forever. Now, modern weapons smiths will put their technical knowledge and ingenuity to the test giving insight into age-old building techniques – and the traditions, methods and craftsmanship that define them. Each episode, three builders will face-off in two historical challenges that call upon era-specific weaponry, from the firearms of the frontier to the blades of the Vikings. But these aren’t just quickly fabricated weapons – each tool will be heavily researched and crafted pieces of art.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Sweet Home on Bravo at 10/9c. When you think of upscale interior design, chances are Oklahoma City isn’t the first place that comes to mind. Sweet Home’s Jennifer Welch changed that mindset when she became the go-to choice for high-end, creative design vision. Her company, Jennifer Welch Designs, thrives on both her passion and the contributions of a young, dedicated team — Alex Hodges, Sarah Moll, and Sabah Khan — as they transform lackluster homes and offices into breathtaking spaces. Wild antics aplenty, this series documents their creative process and the practical challenges they face with each project, ultimately resulting in breathtaking reveals for their clients. Beyond her success in business, Jennifer’s “happily unmarried” relationship with ex-husband Josh Welch remains solid and her bond with quirky best friend Angie “Pumps” Sullivan keep everyone laughing.
