Tonight is the series premiere of Finding Justice on BET at 8/7c. This compelling docuseries tells the powerful stories of heroes, leaders, advocates and change agents in African American communities across America as they uncover injustices and fight to bring healing and change. With the grit and edge of investigative journalism and the profound heart of a powerful documentary, each episode delivers a riveting look at the faces of change in Black America.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Buddy vs. Duff on Food Network at 9/8c. Elite bakers Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss) and Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes) face-off in an epic baking battle for the chance to be crowned the undisputed king of cake. The 6-week competition will challenge every aspect of what it means to be a true pastry artist and cake master. From techniques, to design skills, and taste, each episode will measure their talent in two rounds — a Bake-Off to test their baking abilities, followed by a Cake-Off to showcase their creative imaginations and decorating expertise. Renowned chefs Sherry Yard and Keegan Gerhard are joined throughout the competition by special guest experts, including Florian Bellanger, Street Science’s Kevin Delaney, Flip or Flop’s Christina Anstead, Hannah Hart, Waylynn Lucas, Penn & Teller, Gesine Prado, Fast N’ Loud’s Richard Rawlings, Aarti Sequeira, and many more, to help determine the winner. The pressure is on as the two biggest names in cakes put it all on the line in this ultimate cake-off!

Tonight is also the series premiere of The Case Against Adnan Syed on HBO at 9/8c. The 1999 murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, were brought to global attention in 2014 by the hugely popular “Serial” podcast. But there is more to the story. The Case Against Adnan Syed reinvestigates the case behind the podcast, from the genesis of their high school relationship to the original police investigation and trial, and moves into the current day as Syed faces the prospect of a new trial after almost 20 years in jail. This absorbing four-part documentary series has been production since 2015 and reviews the events leading up to Hae Min Lee’s disappearance, from high school romance, forbidden love and cultural conflict, to the aftermath of her disappearance, the original police investigation and the present day, as Syed awaits the outcome of a lengthy appeals process.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Married to Medicine Los Angeles on Bravo at 9/8c. The series follows a vibrant group of doctors and wives in the exclusive Los Angeles medical community as they navigate their careers, social circles and marriages.

Tonight is the series premiere of Now Apocalypse on Starz at 9/8c. This sexy, vibrant and fast-moving comedy series stars Avan Jogia (Tut, Twisted) as Ulysses, who is struggling to figure out his life in the surreal and bewildering city of Los Angeles. Kelli Berglund (Lab Rats, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors) stars as Carly, Beau Mirchoff (Awkward, The Fosters) as Ford, and Roxane Mesquida (Gossip Girl) as Severine, all of whom are on quests pursuing love, sex and fame. Between sexual and romantic dating-app adventures, Ulysses grows increasingly troubled as foreboding, premonitory dreams make him wonder if some kind of dark and monstrous conspiracy is going on – or if he is just smoking too much weed. Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) also stars.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of USA v. Chapo: The Drug War Goes on Trial on Facebook Watch at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Rolling Stone will explore the incredible rise and fall of drug kingpin Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman in USA v. Chapo: The Drug War Goes on Trial. The show will chronicle El Chapo’s entire career, from the beginnings of his narcotics empire, to his multiple prison escapes to his recent trial, which ended with a New York jury delivering 10 guilty verdicts against former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. The show will also look at how Rolling Stone and Sean Penn managed to track down and interview El Chapo in 2016.

Tonight is the complete first season premiere of Love, Death & Robots on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. Eighteen animated short stories presented by Tim Miller (Deadpool, upcoming untitled Terminator sequel) and David Fincher (Mindhunter, House of Cards) land on Netflix in its first ever animated adult anthology series. The full roster of stories will cover a variety of adult topics including racism, government, war, free will, and human nature. The anthology collection spans the science fiction, fantasy, horror and comedy genres and each short has a unique animation style: from traditional 2D to photo-real 3D CGI. The creators were assembled for a global calling for best in class animators from all over the world including artists from France, Korea, Hungary, Canada and the US among others. The series draws inspiration from the eclectic and provocative comic book material from the 1970’s that influenced both Miller’s and Fincher’s formative interests in storytelling.

Saturday

Saturday is the series premiere of Notorious on Reelz at 9/8c. The cliché rags to riches stories of many celebrities are often about how they succeeded through hard work and perseverance but what about the twisted individuals who gained fame for doing things far outside of the bounds of legality and morality? These are stories of extortion, stalking, lying, defrauding and even murder. Whether it’s Anthony Wiener’s descent from rising political star to sex offender, one of the world’s richest heiresses Patty Hearst robbing a bank at gunpoint, or Aaron Hernandez going from NFL star and multi-millionaire to being convicted of murder and ultimately taking his own life while behind bars, Notorious explores the darker side of fame. Through interviews with crime experts, recreations, archival footage and police reports viewers will learn the stories and motivations behind these individuals who surpassed infamy to become truly notorious.

Tonight is also the series premiere of While You Were Out on TLC at 9/8c. Hosted by Ananda Lewis, the show features an all-star cast comprised of designers from both TLC and HGTV. With a budget of $10,000 per room, each set of designers and carpenters will design one room in neighboring houses after the home owner sends their significant other on a weekend getaway. The ultimate surprise reveal culminates each episode upon their return. One home will include TLC designers and the other, HGTV designers. The cast includes: from TLC, Carter Oosterhouse, Doug Wilson, Frank Bielec, Hildi Santo Tomas, Kahi Lee, Sabrina Soto, Ty Pennington, and Vern Yip. From HGTV, Bristol and Aubrey Marunde, David Visentin, Hilary Farr, Karen E Laine, Mina Starsiak, Nicole Curtis, and Vanilla Ice and carpenters Eric Griffin and Jordan Thompson.

It’s also the season premiere of Murder Made Me Famous on Reelz and Trading Spaces on TLC, both at 8/7c.
