Tonight is the series premiere (of the first two episodes) of My Life is Murder on Acorn TV at 3:01AM/2:01AMc. An unrepentant and brilliant woman who refuses to give in. Or give up. The 10-part series stars the beloved, award-winning actress Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess, Parks and Recreation) as Alexa Crowe, a fearless private investigator and ex-homicide detective who solves the most baffling crimes, as well as coping with the frustrations of everyday life. Investigator Alexa Crowe can’t help fighting the good fight — whether it’s solving murders or combating the small frustrations of everyday life. Fearless and unapologetic, Alexa’s unique skills and insights into the darker quirks of human nature allow her to provoke, comfort and push the right buttons as she unravels the truth behind the most baffling crimes. As Alexa unmasks the hidden passions and dangerous secrets lurking in the energetic, ever-changing city of Melbourne, she is ably assisted by ambitious twenty-something Madison Feliciano (Ebony Vagulans, The Heart Guy, The Furies) — who is not so quietly learning from the best — and her former boss, Detective Inspector Keiran Hussy (Bernard Curry, Home and Away, Wentworth), who enlists Alexa on his trickiest cases. Called a “glorious streaming service… an essential must-have” (The Hollywood Reporter), Acorn TV is North America’s largest streaming service for high-quality British and international TV.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Mystic Britain on Smithsonian Channel at 9/8c. Smithsonian Channel is set to reveal the secrets of Britain’s most mysterious sites via a road trip mixing mysticism with very British humor. In this 10-part series, television and radio presenter Clive Anderson (Whose Line Is It Anyway?, British version 😉 ) and anthropologist Mary-Ann Ochota explore the island’s ancient places and rituals. With Mary-Ann more than a match for Clive’s signature wit and irreverence, the pair travel the length of Britain to investigate the strange and sacred beliefs of its past, joining scientists, archaeologists and historians to look at the latest discoveries unearthing what ancient Britons did in the name of their beliefs and why.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Paranormal Emergency on Travel Channel at 9/8c. Police officers, paramedics and other first responders reveal their true encounters with the paranormal while on duty. Not only do these cases defy explanation, they terrify even the most seasoned men and women who have devoted their lives to serve and protect the living.

Tonight is the series premiere of Bulletproof on The CW at 8/7c. The adrenalin-fueled action thriller BULLETPROOF follows two undercover cops, Bishop (Noel Clarke, Star Trek: Into Darkness) and Pike (Ashley Walters, Top Boy) as they chase down hardened criminals in London’s East End. Despite their differences, Bishop and Pike work brilliantly together even when the chemistry between them looks set to explode. Full of grit and sometimes gloss, Bulletproof is stylish and funny with entertaining, riveting criminal cases in each episode.

Tonight is the series premiere of BH90210 on FOX at 9/8c. Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling, the original stars of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” the groundbreaking teen drama that defined Southern California life, return to FOX, the network they called home for the entire decade of the 1990s, in an all-new event series the takes the concept of a series reboot to a whole new meta-level. When the cast gets back together, it will come with a big twist: the seven former teen idols will be playing heightened versions of themselves in the brand-new serialized drama — with a healthy dose of irreverence — that is inspired by their real lives and relationships with each other. Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Shannen, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast — whom the whole world watched grow up together — attempts to continue from where they left off?

Tonight is also the series premiere of Hypnotize Me on The CW at 9/8c. This is a comedy game show hosted by Taye Diggs. Based on the hit UK format (You’re Back in the Room), the show features physical comedy and unpredictable situations, as contestants work together in teams and are challenged to complete a variety of simple, everyday tasks, from frosting a cake to blowing up balloons…after being hypnotized. With big money at stake, these contestants need to work together as a team. However, their entranced states cause hysterical hurdles that not only sabotage their progress, but reveal aspects of their personalities neither they, their family nor their friends have ever before witnessed! The series also features award-winning hypnotist Keith Barry, who stars in the original UK show, as resident hypnotist.

Finally tonight is the series premiere of Contact on Discovery Channel at 10/9c. It’s the age-old question that has daunted scientists, government officials, explorers, religious leaders, and populations around the world for centuries — have aliens made contact with Earth? While more than half the US population believes they have, most sightings and theories still lack the evidential proof to silence the naysayers. Six highly trained investigators seek to find the answers we’ve all been searching for. Using groundbreaking CIA developed software, military special operations investigative techniques and boots-on-the-ground journalism to track down leads around the world, Contact is the first ever global investigation to determine whether or not aliens have made contact here on Earth.

Tonight is the 90-minute series premiere of Chasing the Cure on TBS & TNT at 9/8c. HGTV star Tarek El Moussa is living proof behind the power of medical crowdsourcing — a phenomenon that taps into a global community of doctors, patients, and viewers working together to help find answers to emotional, difficult, and potentially unsolvable, medical challenges. In a new content series, Chasing the Cure Presents Saved By A Stranger, Tarek shares his own health journey and why he’s an advocate for WarnerMedia’s new, LIVE multiplatform event, Chasing the Cure. From TNT and Lionsgate Television, the linear broadcast will premiere live on TNT and TBS. Anchored and executive produced by Ann Curry, the project will bring together a weekly 90-minute television broadcast with a 24/7 global digital interactive experience to fully harness the power of crowdsourcing in an effort to help people who are suffering from undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or uncured medical mysteries. Every week on the linear series, patients battling puzzling ailments meet with a panel of top doctors who work to help solve their cases ranging from the surprising and odd, to the most uplifting and joyful, to cases that are a race against the clock under heartbreaking life or death circumstances. Simultaneously, viewers will be able to interact with the show across social media pages, a Facebook group, and a dedicated website where users can submit their cases.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Two Sentence Horror Stories on The CW at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. The show features Nicole Kang (Batwoman), Jim Parrack (Suicide Squad), and Aleyse Shannon (Charmed). Inspired by the viral fan fiction of two sentence horror stories, these contemporary tales of horror and haunting tap into universal primal fears, filtered through the anxieties of the most connected and racially diverse generation. Despite dizzying advancements in technology, inequality, social progress, and environmental degradation…the things that haunt us are still the same.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Beyond the Pole on WE at 10/9c. This new series gives a behind-the-scenes look at Atlanta’s hottest dancers! While facing a fierce and fiery mentor, these women hustle to gain financial freedom. The stakes have never been higher as they journey to move “beyond the pole.”
