Tonight is the series premiere of Dublin Murders on Starz at 8/7c. Adapted from Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series of novels, Dublin Murders is a psychological thriller created by Sarah Phelps. Set during the height of the Celtic Tiger financial boom of the millennium, Dublin Murders focuses on two murder investigations led by ambitious and charismatic detectives Rob Reilly (Killian Scott of The Commuter, Ripper Street) and Cassie Maddox (Sarah Greene of Penny Dreadful, Ransom). The victims are seemingly unrelated, but as audiences will discover, they are knitted together by powerful shared themes — the macabre “red in tooth and claw” elements of both stories and their heart-thumping psychological thriller qualities. Additional cast members include Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones) and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Love/Hate).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Back to Life on Showtime at 10/9c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 10:30/9:30c. From Fleabag producers Harry and Jack Williams and Daisy Haggard (Episodes), the comedy series was created by Haggard and written by Haggard and Laura Solon. Haggard plays Miri Matteson, who, after 18 years behind bars, returns home and stumbles back into adult life in the coastal town she once knew, while the mystery of her past looms large. It also stars Adeel Akhtar, Christine Bottomley, Geraldine James, Jamie Michie, Jo Martin, Liam Williams, & Richard Durden.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Unexplained and Unexplored on Science Channel at 10/9c. Did the Maya Empire relocate to America? How did Merriweather Lewis really die? Where did the Ark of the Covenant end up after being smuggled out of Jerusalem? Explorers Justin Fornal and Emiliano Ruprah use historical maps as well as modern imaging techniques to examine these and other mysteries. Though no single map holds the whole picture of these mysteries, Justin and Emiliano cross-reference the information held within them, spurring the pair to launch new, in-depth investigations. Expert researchers and laser mapping tools help locate the mythical outposts detailed in these maps and unravel the mysteries behind their disappearances.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Lost Secrets on Travel Channel at 11/10c. From family relics to private collections and museum displays, people often unknowingly possess unusual objects that hold hidden pasts and secret histories. Now in Travel Channel’s new series, historian Justin Jampol journeys around the world to unlock the mysteries of the past held within these recently discovered items, revealing covert histories that have unexpectedly, and unknowingly, changed the world we live in. Using state-of-the-art scientific testing coupled with an insatiable curiosity, Jampol’s globe-trotting investigations reveal how these mysterious objects can hold the real truths behind pivotal moments in our history that we thought we already knew. From unearthing a mysterious medal that may hold the secret to WWIII to discovering the space race was a cover to weaponize the cosmos, Jampol unveils why knowing the truth about our past makes it relevant to understanding our present.

Tuesday

Tuesday features 6 series premieres, 2 season premieres, & 1 season finale. To read more about the new series, click the link below. Otherwise, check out tonight’s schedule!

Click here for series premiere information

Overnight last night was the premiere of Encore! on Disney+. Executive producer Kristen Bell brings together former castmates of a high school musical, tasking them with re-creating their original performance in a high school reunion like no other. Emotions run high as the former students face faded friendships, former flames, self-doubt, and killer choreography. Through it all, these unlikely groups of friends — with the help of Broadway’s best — just might pull off a standing-ovation-worthy performance of beloved musicals like The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, and more.

Also overnight last night was the premiere of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on Disney+. Inspired by the pop culture sensation High School Musical, the series was created and is executive produced by Tim Federle, a screenwriter, novelist, librettist and self-described “musical theatre kid” whose credits include the Golden Globe(R) and Academy Award(R)-nominated Ferdinand. Starring is Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Renee’, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders. The series is set at East High School, the setting and filming location of the original movies. It introduces members of the drama club and their faculty advisors as they work their way to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of High School Musical: The Musical. Show-mances blossom, old friendships are tested while new ones are made, rivalries flare, and lives are changed forever as these students discover the transformative power that only high school theater can provide.

Also overnight last night was the premiere of The Imagineering Story on Disney+. The documentary series chronicles the 65+-year history of Walt Disney Imagineering with parallel storylines of the people, the craft, and the business. Created by Academy Award-(R) and Emmy-(R) nominated director and producer Leslie Iwerks, the series includes exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage from Disney’s parks around the world.

Also overnight last night was the premiere of The Mandalorian on Disney+. The first ever live-action Star Wars series is written and executive-produced by Emmy(R)-nominated producer and actor Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) directing the first episode. The highly anticipated series features an all-star cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. Set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, the series follows a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Finally, the last show to premiere overnight last night was The World According to Jeff Goldblum on Disney+. Through the prism of Jeff Goldblum’s always inquisitive and highly entertaining mind, nothing is as it seems in this new series. Each episode is centered around something we all love – like sneakers or ice cream – as Jeff pulls the thread on these deceptively familiar objects and unravels a wonderful world of astonishing connections, fascinating science and history, amazing people, and a whole lot of surprising big ideas and insights.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Kings of Pain on History Channel at 10/9c. This new unscripted series follows wildlife biologist Adam Thorn and professional animal handler Rob “Caveman” Alleva as they get bit and stung by some of the most dangerous animals and vicious stinging insects in the world — from a reticulated python to a rove beetle — to create a complete and comprehensive pain index that will ultimately help save lives. In 1983 entomologist Dr. Justin O. Schmidt began ranking stinging insects on a scale from 1-4, putting himself in harm’s way for science creating the Schmidt sting pain index and authoring the book The Sting of The Wild. Now Thorn and Alleva are taking Schmidt’s pain index even further adding venomous bites and more deadly creatures and ranking them on a 30-point scale with new categories including intensity, duration and damage. Their goal is to create history’s ultimate and fully comprehensive guide to measuring pain. In addition, they will be consulting with Schmidt as they build this new pain index that is completely new to science to be used as an educational tool showcasing which creatures humans should avoid and what to do in the event they do get bitten or stung.

Tonight is the 2-hour series premiere of The Preppy Murder: Death in Central Park on both AMC & SundanceTV at 9/8c. The show reexamines one of the most infamous crimes in recent American history — the 1986 killing of Jennifer Levin at the hands of Robert Chambers. It will expose evidence that was inadmissible in the trial and also examine the circumstances that made the story unfold the way it did: America’s untamed ambition in the mid-1980s, the rarified lifestyle of New York’s privileged prep school kids, sexism, elitism, an all-out tabloid media war that blamed the victim and an imperfect justice system.

Overnight last night was the complete first season premiere of Dollface on Hulu. The show follows Jules (Kat Dennings, 2 Broke Girls), a young woman who — after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend — must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women, and rekindle the female friendships she left behind. It also stars Brenda Song (Dads, Pure Genius, The Suite Life of Zach and Cody), Shay Mitchell (Almost Ready, Pretty Little Liars), Goran Visnjic (Timeless, Extant, Red Widow, ER), & Esther Povitsky (Alone Together).

Overnight last night was also the complete first season premiere of I’m with the Band: Nasty Cherry on Netflix. In an unfiltered, intimate docuseries, pop star mentor Charli XCX finds out what it takes to build — and break — a real, badass all-girl punk band.
