Tonight is the series premiere of Murdered By Morning on Oxygen at 7/6c. Each episode follows the true story of a victim whose night took an unexpected turn, resulting in a horrific homicide. As the sun sets, viewers will watch as seemingly blissful evenings transform into the deadliest nights of all. Murdered by Morning showcases stories where individuals are unaware that the night in question will be their last. From a girls’-night-out gone bad to an overnight shift at a local toy store that takes an unexpected turn, the series recounts how an average night can quickly turn into a nightmare. By examining each case step-by-step, the series combs through numerous suspects until the killer is eventually caught. In each standalone episode, intrigue around the crime builds, dark secrets are uncovered, and Murdered by Morning proves that nothing good happens after midnight.

Tonight is also the series premiere of 9-1-1: Lone Star on FOX at 10/9c. Nearly 20 years ago, Owen Strand (Rob Lowe, Parks and Recreation, The West Wing) was the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station. After a similar tragedy happens to a firehouse in Austin, Owen, along with his troubled firefighter son, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein, Dead of Summer), takes his progressive philosophies of life and firefighting down to Texas, where he helps them start anew. On the surface, Owen is all about big-city style and swagger, but underneath he struggles with a secret he hides from the world — one that could very well end his life. The series also stars Liv Tyler (The Leftovers), Sierra McClain (Mindhunter), Jim Parrack (The Deuce, True Blood), Natacha Karam (The Brave), Brian Michael Smith (Queen Sugar), newcomer Rafael Silva, and Julian Works (American Crime).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Avenue 5 on HBO at 10/9c. Set 40 years in the future, Avenue 5 follows the captain and crew of a luxury space cruise ship as they navigate disgruntled passengers and unexpected events after experiencing technical difficulties onboard. The show stars Hugh Laurie (House, Catch-22), Josh Gad (1600 Penn, Back to You, The Comedians, Good Vibes), Kyle Bornheimer (Angel from Hell, Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, Council of Dads, Worst Week), Lenora Crichlow (Back in the Game, Deception, Being Human), Jessica St. Clair (Playing House, The IT Crowd), Ethan Phillips, Himesh Patel (Station Eleven), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Five Days, Luther, Survivors), Rebecca Front (Humans, Queers), Suzy Nakamura (Dr. Ken, Go On), & Zach Woods (The Office, Silicon Valley, Playing House).

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Vienna Blood on PBS at 10/9c. A student of Sigmund Freud and an Austrian detective team up to solve some of the most mysterious and deadly cases in early 1900s Vienna.

Overnight last night was the complete first season premiere of October Faction on Netflix. Monster hunters Fred and Deloris Allan tangle with evil … and family drama with their teenage twins. From the comics by Steve Niles and Damien Worm. The show stars Aurora Burghart, Gabriel Darku, J.C. MacKenzie (Vinyl), Maxim Roy (Shadowhunters, Defying Gravity), Megan Follows (Reign), Stephen McHattie (Jesse Stone TV movies, Red: Werewolf Hunter), Tamara Taylor (Bones, Altered Carbon), & Wendy Crewson (Ascension, The Beast, Beauty & The Beast, The Detail, Georgetown, When Hope Calls).

Tonight is the series premiere of Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer on Reelz at 8/7c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9/8c. Serial killers blend in. They appear normal. But lurking deep within their psyche are the triggers that kick-start their psychopathic behavior. Abusive childhood experiences, trauma as an adult, detectable mental frailty, narcissism and an absence of empathy combine to build up a body of evidence which rings alarm bells for psychologists. By forensically researching the lives of those killers who can’t stop killing, Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer reveals why they do what they do and how they could have been spotted before committing their awful crimes. With dramatic reconstructions alongside actual footage and interviews with criminologists, journalists, detectives and people intimately involved in the story each episode examines the chilling behavior profiles of serial killers.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Outmatched on FOX at 8:30/7:30c. For most parents, parenting is hard. But for Kay (Maggie Lawson, Lethal Weapon, Psych), a caustic, take-no-prisoners casino pit boss, and husband Mike (Jason Biggs, Orange Is the New Black, the American Pie franchise), a handyman and uncultivated guy’s guy, parenting may as well be advanced calculus. Dealing with the demands and egos of three high-IQ children would be tricky for any parent, but it’s especially hazardous for two working stiffs who barely got through high school. Mike and Kay are committed to bringing some normalcy to their kids’ hectic, unconventional childhoods, but these geniuses don’t make it easy. The show also stars Tisha Campbell (Dr. Ken, My Wife and Kids), Jack Stanton (The Mick), Connor Kalopsis (The Grinder), Ashley Boettcher (Lost in Oz), and Oakley Bull (Beautiful Boy).

Tonight is also the series premiere of Star Trek: Picard on CBSAA at 8:30/7:30c. It follows this iconic character into the next chapter of his life. Season one cast members include Sir Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), Alison Pill (Dr. Agnes Jurati), Isa Briones (Dahj), Evan Evagora (Elnor), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Santiago Cabrera (Cristobal Rios), and Harry Treadaway (Narek) along with special guest stars Brent Spiner (Data), Jonathan Del Arco (Hugh), Jonathan Frakes (William Riker), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi).

Along with their two sons, Charlie and Chase, the doctors are always on the go as their veterinary practice cares for the region’s myriad animals in need, including cows, potbellied pigs, llamas, deer and possum. The Schroeders’ credo extends beyond saving the animals on which America depends; it’s about making each visit something to look forward to for both the animals and their caretakers, even in the toughest conditions.
