Tonight is the series premiere of Girl Scout Cookie Championship on Food Network at 8/7c. Food Network and Girl Scouts of the USA have teamed up to celebrate one of the most-anticipated times of year with Girl Scout Cookie Championship, a four-episode primetime event that captures the country’s obsession with the iconic cookies. Cookies are only available for a few short months each year, making Girl Scout Cookie(R) season a nationwide phenomenon. Hosted by Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother), each episode challenges five accomplished bakers to transform Girl Scout Cookies into show-stopping edible pieces of art and takes viewers behind-the-scenes for an up-close look at how the treats are made. Judges Nacho Aguirre and Katie Lee are joined by a rotating third judge, including panelist Carla Hall, to ultimately determine which competitor made the most stunning creation. The results include a giant double barrel toasted marshmallow cake made with Girl Scout S’mores(R), a ten-layer Do-si-do(R)/Peanut Butter Sandwich red velvet globe cake complete with peanut butter buttercream and Thin Mints(R) transformed into a three-tiered blueberry mint glacier cake. Girl Scout alums Hannigan, Lee and Hall are joined by current Girl Scouts each week.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Below Deck Sailing Yacht on Bravo at 9/8c. Trading in the motor yacht famed on Below Deck, this series is set on a luxury sailing yacht with a new crew and equally demanding charter guests looking to follow the wind as they cruise along the crystal-clear blue waters of Corfu, Greece. Chef Adam Glick from Below Deck Mediterranean returns to the galley aboard the180-foot-long sailing yacht Parsifal III.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of McMillion$ on HBO at 10/9c. This is the incredible true story of how $24 million-dollars was stolen from the McDonald’s Monopoly game of the 1990s, the mystery mastermind behind the scam and the intrepid FBI agents on his trail. For over a decade, McDonald’s fast-food empire awarded prizes in its Monopoly promotional game tie-in, unaware that the biggest winning tickets were being stolen and sold to undeserving winners through a complex web of family and friends who became co-conspirators. An anonymous tip to the FBI in 2001 triggers a far-reaching chain of events that will come to include dogged and unorthodox investigative work, undercover sting operations and dirty dealings by shifty ex-cons with ties to the mafia. The series unfolds with suspense and improbable hijinks as it unravels the twisted threads of the fast-food fraud and reveals the real-life characters for whom a winning ticket was too good to turn down, and who hoped they could get away with stealing from Ronald McDonald.

Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Interrogation on CBSAA. With all episodes dropping at once, viewers will see the day of the crime and then follow the evidence like a cold case detective, abandon the linear narrative, and determine their own investigative path by watching the episodes leading up to the finale in any order. Starring Peter Sarsgaard (The Looming Tower), Kyle Gallner (Outsiders), David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck), and special guest star Vincent D’Onofrio (The Godfather of Harlem), Interrogation is based on a case that spans more than 20 years, in which a young man was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother. After being sentenced to life in prison, he continued to fight to prove his innocence. Each episode is structured around interrogations informed by real police case files. Sarsgaard plays David Russell, the lead detective on the case; Gallner plays the accused, Eric Fisher; Strathairn plays Eric’s father, Henry Fisher; and D’Onofrio plays Ian Lynch, an Internal Affairs officer who ends up becoming Eric Fisher’s biggest ally.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Katy Keene on The CW at 8/7c. It follows the lives and loves of four iconic Archie Comics characters — fashion legend-to-be Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), singer/songwriter Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), performer Jorge Lopez/Ginger (Jonny Beauchamp), and “It Girl” Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) — as they chase their twenty-something dreams in New York City…together. Katy designs clothes for anyone she can, including her friend and roommate Josie, whose singing talent catches the attention of Alexander Cabot (Lucien Laviscount), a CEO who hopes to reboot the record label division of his father’s corporate empire. But Alexander’s dream of signing Josie to a recording contract meets resistance from Cabot Media’s powerful senior vice president Alexandra (Camille Hyde), who also happens to be his twin sister. Josie and Katy’s roommate Jorge works at his family’s bodega and has his eye on Broadway, but after a series of rejections, he hopes to take his drag performance career as Ginger to the next level. The mysterious Pepper Smith plans to open her own version of Andy Warhol’s Factory. She has the connections, but no one seems to know where she got her money – or if she really has any at all. Katy struggles to manage the pressures of her day job at Lacy’s Department Store and her very demanding boss, Gloria (Katherine LaNasa), who is a legendary personal shopper. But Katy has the support of her longtime boyfriend, KO Kelly (Zane Holtz), who has his own dream of becoming a professional boxer. As these aspiring artists take on the runway, the recording studio, Broadway, and the NYC social scene, they will find more than just a career in the big city — they’ll find long-lasting friendship.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Indebted on NBC at 9:30/8:30c. Young parents Dave and Rebecca are ready to reclaim their life after years of diapers and sleepless nights. However, things take an unexpected turn when Dave’s parents show up unannounced and broke, leaving Dave with no choice but to open the door to the people who gave him everything. But these boomerang parents aren’t great with boundaries and the question of who’s parenting who quickly becomes blurred in this multi-generational comedy starring Fran Drescher and Adam Pally as mother and son. The cast includes Adam Pally, Abby Elliott, Steven Weber and Fran Drescher.

Tonight is also the series premiere of Briarpatch on USA Network at 10/9c. The show follows Allegra Dill (Rosario Dawson), as a no-nonsense professional who returns to her quirky hometown to solve her sister’s murder. The season celebrates the beloved genres represented by Ross Thomas’s book — a stylish blend of crime and pulp fiction — while updating his sense of fun, danger and place for a new generation. The series also stars Jay R. Ferguson, Edi Gathegi, Brian Geraghty, and Kim Dickens.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Tommy on CBS at 10/9c. Multiple Emmy Award winner Edie Falco stars as a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female Chief of Police for Los Angeles. A true blue New Yorker, Abigail “Tommy” Thomas uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland. Equal parts political, procedural and family drama, the show comes from Paul Attanasio, the creator of the acclaimed series Bull, House M.D. and Homicide: Life on the Street.

    Chiefs???? 🧐

  2. I plan my week by your wonderful guide. I am so grateful because it would be so hard to do without you.
I did notice a couple of things this time that I thought you might wanna check. I see “Vikings” has a winter finale alphabatized in the regular lineup but not broken out at the top in red with Thursday season finales. Also, the new show “Interrogation” mentions Netflix rather than CBSAA in your premiere description of the show.

  3. Allie says:

Hey hey, first I want to say I love your site! Wanted to mention that the Real Housewives of Atlanta doesnt come back until Feb. 9th, which will be episode 13. It had a 2 week break.

  4. Buscemi fan says:

I think you forgot to add season 2 of Miracle Workers
