Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!
Tonight, the first season of Better Call Saul comes to a close. Last week, Jimmy helped Chuck finally leave his house by creating a foil-lined suit for his brother to wear. They headed to Chuck’s office to work on the class-action suit, where Chuck received a standing ovation from his entire firm — obviously he is well-loved there. Jimmy was excited because he assumed the partnership on the class-action suit meant that he would finally be accepted as part of the firm. However, Howard said that was not the case and that they only wanted to pay him a referral fee and not have him actually work on the case. Jimmy eventually put two and two together and realized that his brother was the one who set up this arrangement. Meanwhile, an unarmed Mike took on the job of three men, serving as bodyguard/assistant for a nervous young man brokering a drug deal with Nacho.
So we finally got the first inkling of what is likely going to cause Jimmy to break bad and slip into the moral-less persona of Saul Goodman. Jimmy has always loved and trusted his brother, but now he has discovered Chuck still thinks of him as “Slippin Jimmy” and a fake lawyer and that he has never wanted him at his firm. All these years Jimmy struggled to move up in the firm, and it was his own brother who had been working against him! How will this news affect Jimmy? Will he immediately start taking on more shady cases with Nacho? Will he break off his relationship with his brother? Will we get another fast-forward glimpse of post-Breaking Bad Saul in tonight’s episode?
On tonight’s episode, “Marco,” Jimmy seizes the opportunity to reconnect with an old friend. Meanwhile, Chuck adjusts to a new way of life.
If you missed any of this first season, AMC will be airing a marathon of the first 9 episodes starting at 12PM/11AMc, leading up to tonight’s finale at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/recording The Following, Jane the Virgin, Bates Motel, and The Returned.
