My pick tonight has to be the season finale of Blue Bloods. All season long, we’ve been waiting for the Jamie/Eddie wedding, and tonight is it! But first, last week saw the return of Eddie’s incarcerated father, who contacted Jamie and asked him to come visit the prison. Turns out he wanted Jamie to talk to his dad and whoever else and get him a furlough so he could walk Eddie down the aisle. He lied to Jamie about Eddie having been writing him, telling him that’s what she wanted. For a bit, it looked like it was going to happen, but then when Eddie and Jamie went back to talk to him, he called her an angel, and she remembered that he only called her that when he wanted help out of a jam. She claimed he was once again pulling some con and turned and walked out. Guess there will be no Daddy Janko at the wedding!

Elsewhere in the episode, we learned that Nicky, who was graduating college, got a job with the Justice Coalition, which didn’t sit well with the rest of the family, including her mother and grandfather, since they’re usually going up against the NYPD. In the end, Nicky talked to Frank and convinced him that she knew what she was doing. Also, Henry had a package delivered that was then stolen by a “porch pirate,” who turned out to be a neighbor’s drug-addicted granddaughter. Henry and the neighbor seemed to have a little spark, so maybe there will be something more next season? And finally, the case that Danny and Baez worked dealt with really creepy twins, one of who murdered a woman, and when they were caught, they went all creepy with each other and then the alpha twin shot his brother and then himself. Uber creepy story line, really.

On tonight’s episode, “Something Blue,” as Jamie and Eddie’s wedding day approaches, Frank worries about the toast he’ll deliver at their rehearsal dinner. Also, Erin interviews a witness whose story leads her to doubt Eddie’s honesty, since she took his initial statement, and Danny and Baez unravel the complicated love life of a young homicide victim.

See if the wedding goes off without a hitch on tonight’s season finale on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, MacGyver, The Cool Kids, & Hawaii Five-0.

I never tire of the family dynamics on Blue Bloods, and lately we have been seeing how Eddie is going to fit into the mix. Last week Jamie told Eddie that she shouldn’t join any clubs with other officers because she’s going to be the daughter-in-law of the Police Commissioner, and that means people will want favors. Eddie did not take well to being told what she should or should not do. Help came in an unlikely form when Danny stepped in and played the mediator for the two lovebirds. In the end, Jamie told Eddie to go play softball with the girls, and Eddie had a better understanding of Jamie’s original position. It is surprising that Danny was the one to be level-headed because he’s always been a hot head but even more since he lost Linda. I’m hoping as soon as Danny gets some closure on her death that he’ll be able to find some peace and love again.

On tonight’s episode, “Common Enemies,” after someone breaks into Luis Delgado’s home and kills his wife, Luis and Danny team up to take down the vicious murderer who may also be responsible for Linda’s death. Also, Frank finally meets Eddie’s mother, Lena, and Jamie and Erin are at odds after Jamie seeks her help charging a man who confessed to him while under the influence.

To see if these two enemies can work together for a united cause, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching MacGyver, Proven Innocent, and Hawaii Five-0.

Blue Bloods continues to challenge the characters and push them out of their comfort zones. Last week, a medium showed up outside a crime scene where Danny and Baez were investigating the death of a girl. The medium told them it wasn’t a suicide as it appeared, that it was in fact a murder. Danny thought she was crazy, but in the end she was right. Danny had a sweet moment with the medium later when the topic of his late wife Linda came up, and he said he loved his wife very much. The medium then said, “She says she loves you more.” My heart was mush because that is a very emotional thing to think about our loved ones sending us love from beyond the grave. She also said that Linda’s death was not an accident, which is something I hope we will deal with at some point during this season.

On tonight’s episode, “My Brother’s Keeper,” it’s Reagan versus Reagan when Danny goes against Jamie’s direct order during a hostage negotiation. Also, Nicky asks Erin for help when her friend is in jeopardy of losing his scholarship because of a crime he didn’t commit, and Frank helps a distraught officer who accidentally shot an innocent girl.

To watch the Reagan brothers butt heads, tune in to CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching Hell’s Kitchen.

Last year, Netflix joined in the game of making holiday-themed movies like those romantic comedies and dramas that flood Lifetime and Hallmark this time of year. One of Netflix’s immensely popular original films last winter was A Christmas Prince, and today the streaming service launches the sequel, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding.

In the original film, American magazine journalist Amber Moore (Rose McIver, iZombie) was sent to the nation of Aldovia to cover the story of playboy Prince Richard (Ben Lamb, The White Queen), who was set to take the throne following his father’s recent death. There were rumors that he might abdicate, so Amber started snooping through the castle, where she was mistaken for young Princess Emily’s new tutor. Amber decided to run with that and use her new position to investigate the rumors. She uncovered evidence that Richard had been adopted, and this caused a contention as to the proper heir to the throne. By the end, Emily and Richard had both fallen in love with Amber, despite her initial dishonesty, and Richard was ultimately deemed the proper heir. Amber went back home to start a popular blog about Richard and her adventures, but as there is always a happy ending in these stories, on New Year’s Eve, Richard showed up at Amber’s father’s diner and proposed to her.

Tonight the story continues. It’s been nearly a year since the proposal, and the couple is planning a Christmas wedding. However, some wrenches are thrown into their plans – a political crisis puts the kingdom in jeopardy, and Amber starts to question whether she has it in her to be a queen. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that everything probably works out in the end and the happy couple will tie the knot! I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but I always get sucked into watched these predictable but fun holiday TV movies. I really enjoyed the first A Christmas Prince, so I’m looking forward to checking out the sequel tonight. Netflix has been making some really great holiday films this year! Last week’s The Christmas Chronicles is another fun one to check out!

Check out this fun Christmas flick now on Netflix!

I’ll also be watching/recording Child Support.

Last week’s Hawaii Five-0 was as good as I’d hoped it would be. Jerry is a fun character, and seeing him as a kid, with his friends in the woods, was cute. He swore he saw a murder and believed there was a body buried out there. He and his friends went over to the scary old man’s house in the woods – the one who all the ghost stories were about. Jerry even sneaked inside, only to get caught hiding in the closet. He ran screaming from the house before the man could get him. Jerry and his friends have gone back every year to try to find the body Jerry swore was there. This year, his friends have all decided they’ve had enough. They went along with it for that long just to placate him, but they’re tired of it.

But this year’s different. With Noelani’s & Eric’s help and the assistance of a ground-penetrating radar machine or whatever, they found a bone. Unfortunately, it was a dog bone. It started to rain, and everyone scattered – Jerry’s friends went back to the cabin they were staying in, while Noelani & Eric took the machine back to the car before going back to the cabin themselves. Jerry was so sure he was right that he told them he was going to dig more because sometimes animals were buried on top of humans to keep scavengers from getting to the human bones. He dug and dug and dug…only to find more bones…of a human this time. Turned out he was right after all. The bad guy then came to the cabin and tried to burn it down or smoke them out when they barricaded all the doors and windows, but just before he could start it, Bo Bradley (the man all the scary stories were about) shot him to save their lives. He was simply a recluse who let the rumors about him live in order to keep campers away from his house.

The other story line last week was great too. The team investigated when parents found a drawing their little girl had done a couple of weeks before that depicted the body of a redhaired woman wearing a necklace…and that woman with that necklace was just on the news of being found that day. And that wasn’t the only drawing the parents found. The parents also mentioned that the little girl had an imaginary friend who she talked to and that’s who the daughter said drew the pictures. Five-0 had the drawings checked with a handwriting analyst or something, and sure enough, the daughter’s was different than whoever had colored the pictures with the bodies. In the end, it turned out the “imaginary friend” was a real live little girl who was being forced to help her father kidnap women who resembled his ex-wife, who was a drug addict. Five-0 captured the guy and rescued the girl, who was reunited with her mother, who was now clean and sober. It was a freaky story with a great ending.

Last but not least, Tani heard from Captain Keo about the gun she found in Adam’s kitchen drawer…and he confirmed it had been used to kill Adam’s half-sister. So now Tani has to figure out what to do. Ugh. I hate this story line. I wish she’d just ignored the gun when she found it!

On tonight’s episode, “Aia i Hi’ikua; i Hi’ialo (Is Borne on the Back; Is Borne in the Arms),” McGarrett crosses the line and is arrested while investigating the death of his former SEAL buddy, who died while making an emergency landing on an aircraft carrier, and the only survivor is a baby. Also, Adam returns to Oahu with some devastating news about his marriage.

Learn the fate of Adam’s marriage (no surprise, I’d think…) tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, MacGyver, The Cool Kids, Hell’s Kitchen, & Blue Bloods.
