Tonight, after six exciting seasons, NBC’s Grimm finally comes to an end. Last week, Nick and Eve were inside the mirror trying to launch an attack on the Zerstorer, but they quickly realized they were no match for this creature and his powerful staff. Diana managed to re-open the portal and rescue Nick and Eve, but somehow the trip caused Eve to no longer be a Hexenbiest. Meanwhile, Diana sensed something was wrong and realized that the Zerstorer was also able to escape back into the real world and was now coming for her. As Rosalee and Adalind cast a spell to conceal Diana from the beast, the others, including a newly returned Trubel, looked for a way to stop the Zerstorer. However, when Hank and Wu headed to the police station, they found themselves face-to-face with the beast, who seemingly stabbed them both to death as Nick watched in horror.

Is this truly the end of Hank and Wu? I mean, I know this is the end of the show, but they can’t just die like that, right? There’s got to be some way to bring them back! How will Nick and the others stop the Zerstorer? Will anyone else die in the process? And will we finally see Eve turn back into the old Juliette just in time to give her and Nick a happy ending? I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out and how the series comes to close tonight.

On tonight’s finale, “The End,” Nick must look to his ancestors for strength to save the world from a terrifying end as he faces off against a seemingly unbeatable foe. At the Spice Shop, Monroe, Rosalee, and Eve search for answers and stumble upon a rare potion that may help the fight. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard and Adalind try to keep Diana and baby Kelly safe as the threat has its eyes set on the children.

See how our favorite Portland gang handles the beast and who lives and dies tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Sleepy Hollow & Tangled: The Series.

Last week’s Wesen on Grimm was creepy – and that’s saying something, considering how many different, creepy Wesens we’ve seen throughout the series! A guy living at a rundown hotel was freaking out because he swore a monster was attacking him when he went to sleep, so he’d driven himself crazy by staying awake as much as possible. Turns out it was the hotel’s owner, who couldn’t sleep unless she stole it from others. And she did that by turning into this monster-looking thing with a huge, gaping mouth with lots of teeth-looking/sucker things and basically swallowing the person’s face as she siphoned out the sleep pheromones or whatever. It was creepy. LOL Meanwhile, back at the Spice Shop, Monroe, Rosalee, and Eve figure out that the symbols Eve carved in the tunnel are a calendar – a mix of different centuries and civilizations, such as Sumerian and Mayan – but instead of being a date in the far-distant past…it’s a future date: March 24, 2017! What the…?? I guess we’ll find out!

I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it’s honestly one of the funniest ones of the series. I laughed out loud so many times. Hank, especially, was hysterical. Russell Hornsby kills it in this one. My favorite Hank episode ever, I think. Plus, we get more Diana creepiness but with an amusing twist.

On tonight’s episode, “Blind Love,” Rosalee surprises Monroe with a getaway for his birthday and invites most of the gang to join them. Things take a shocking turn when a hotel employee targets Nick in an effort to avenge his father. Meanwhile, Eve gets a visit from a dark force that she has seen before. Elsewhere, Capt. Renard spends the weekend with Diana when a former ally decides to get even.

See what happens on the birthday getaway tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, MacGyver, Rosewood, Hawaii Five-0, & Blue Bloods.

This final season of Grimm so far has been about good/evil – or rather Nick/Renard. The captain set Nick up to take the fall for Bonaparte’s death, so Nick had to go into hiding. But before Renard and what seemed like a whole host of police could take him down from where he was lying low in Bud’s shop, Hank and Wu showed up and arrested Renard for Rachel’s death. When they needed to get Renard to drop the charges against Nick, Adalind (who has been forced to wear Renard’s engagement ring or her children will be hurt) suggested a Trust Me Knot (ergo, the title of the episode…). Basically Renard would drop the charges & reinstate Nick to the police force in exchange for Adalind providing Renard an alibi for Rachel’s murder. Whoever breaks their word will die. Unfortunately, the Renard-threatened judge let Renard off for “lack of evidence” during the grand jury. Renard said that since Adalind never testified, the Trust Me Knot agreement is null, and therefore Nick was still in trouble. Also, he told Hank and Wu he expected their resignations immediately. Oh, and through it all? Monroe and Rosalee are going to be parents! Yay!

So that leads up to the third episode, which airs tonight. Nick on the run, Hank and Wu expected to resign, Adalind and the kids stuck at Renard’s house as a “family,” and Evil Renard back in charge. I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and it is a fantastic follow-up to the first two eps of the season. It resolves some stories and allows us to get back to a little bit of normal. I can’t wait!

On tonight’s episode, “Oh Captain My Captain,” in order to stop the rise of Capt. Renard, Nick devises a plan that will take him out of his element. Adalind and Monroe do everything in their power to keep the plan on track. Meanwhile, Eve and Rosalee race against time to get the spell ready before it is too late.

To find out their plan to stop Renard, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Last Man Standing, Rosewood, Hawaii Five-0, & Blue Bloods.

Tonight, Emerald City – NBC’s long-awaited re-imagining of The Wizard Of Oz – finally premieres. The series was first announced in 2014 and even had a presence at San Diego Comic-Con but was canceled shortly afterwards due to creative differences. Later it was picked back up and continued to appear in NBC’s list of new shows at its annual upfronts presentation but never actually made it onto the schedule…until now.

Tonight, the 10-episode first season, directed by the visually-creative Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall, Immortals, Mirror Mirror, Self/less), finally kicks off with a double-episode premiere. This darker retelling of the classic tale finds 20-year-old doctor Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona, True Detective) swept into a tornado and transported in a mysterious new world. She wakes up in a wrecked police car along with K-9 officer Toto and soon learns she is in a land called Oz, governed by the all-powerful Wizard (Vincent D’Onofrio, Daredevil, Law & Order: CI). Years earlier, the Wizard had stopped the Beast Forever from destroying the Emerald City and its people, and ever since he has outlawed magic. However, Dorothy’s falling from the sky is the first foretold sign of a disastrous prophesy predicting the return of the mythical Beast.

As Glinda (Joely Richardson, Nip/Tuck), West (Ana Ularu), and the other witches start pressuring the Wizard to take action to prevent the looming disaster, an unknowing Dorothy makes her toward the city in hopes of finding her way home. As she sets off, Dorothy crosses paths with Lucas (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Dracula), a former member of the Wizard’s guard, who has amnesia after being tied to a cross in the middle of a field. The cast also includes Mido Hamada (24), Gerran Howell (Young Dracula), and Jordan Loughran (Evermoor).

While I wasn’t blown away by tonight’s premiere (no pun intended), I did like the cast and the look of the series. I’m interested to see how the other key characters of the original story are going to be worked into this tale. And there were also some interesting characters and developments set up by the end of the second episode that made me a little more keen to check out some more.

On part one of tonight’s premiere, “The Beast Forever,” a tornado occurs while Dorothy searches for her mother, and the storm transports Dorothy to a mystical land where a powerful ruler has outlawed magic. Then, in “Prison of the Abject,” Dorothy finds a soldier with amnesia and a man trying to help his best friend. Meanwhile, Glinda and West say good-bye to their fallen sister.

Check out the premiere tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording One Day at a Time, Grimm, Sleepy Hollow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Ginormous Food.

hawaiifiveo513smallOn last week’s Hawaii Five-0, Chin learned some shocking news: he’s an uncle! It was a shock to everyone to learn that Gabriel had a young daughter. (In case you don’t remember, Chin was married to Gabriel’s sister until she was killed.) Chin found out about the girl when her mother was killed while she was at a neighbor’s house at a sleepover. Then she was kidnapped by Michelle Shioma’s (one bad, cold woman…) people in order to draw Gabriel out to Shioma, and the gang had to find her. Unfortunately, in the process, they killed the man who they believed would turn on Shioma, which meant they still couldn’t arrest her! Ugh!

Tonight is a double-episode season finale. We’re still in the middle of the Gabriel story line, which hopefully will be resolved tonight. Unfortunately, I don’t think Adam is in either story, which means he’ll still be in prison by season’s end (and I’m assuming at the beginning of next season). I don’t like that… I would love to see him and Kono get to start their HEA!

On tonight’s first episode, “Pa’a ka ‘ipuka i ka ‘upena nananana (The Entrance is Stopped with a Spider’s Web),” trapped inside a dilapidated building in Oahu’s Chinatown, Five-0 must protect a wounded Gabriel (Christopher Sean) and plan their escape when enemy gunmen storm the building looking to kill him and anyone who gets in their way.

Then on the season finale, “O ke ali’I wale no ka’u makemake (My Desire is Only for the Chief),” in order to stop a meth epidemic on the Island, McGarrett and Danny go undercover as pilots, but when McGarrett is seriously wounded, Danny is forced to break their cover in order to save his partner’s life. Duane “Dog” Chapman guest stars.

See how the season ends tonight on CBS starting at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Grimm.
