The overall arc on Harley Quinn since the pilot has been one of Harley distancing herself from her former home in the Joker’s shadow, as his emotional and physical punching bag. The short-term arc has been how Harley & Ivy have a vivacious sexual relationship that comes to the fore every time they get drunk together. That’s why it was crazy that a few episodes back, she rebooted the Joker by throwing him back into a vat of acid. He remembered who he was but couldn’t forget that the last half year he has been in love with Bethany, a single mother who is a nurse.

After last week’s mind-control fiasco, Harley & Kite Man finally bested Dr. Psycho and thusly earned the rights to Darkseid’s parademon armies. Harley declined, as she was not sure she really identified as a super-villain anymore. All is well that ends well? Well yes, except that Psycho sabotaged Ivy’s chances at happiness with Kite Man by showing the whole city a psychic projection of Harles & Ives doing the wild thing.

This show has been no-stop hilaritude and crass ball crunching action. This is the Harley Quinn we deserve. No matter what happens on today’s finale, I hope we get a season three!! If not, I have a baseball bat…

On today’s episode, “The Runaway Bridesmaid,” Ivy and Kite Man’s wedding plans are threatened to be derailed by an overzealous Commissioner Gordon who can’t resist a party with all of Gotham’s biggest villains; Ivy and Kite Man’s best chance at happiness is for Harley to come to the rescue.

Don’t miss the season 2 finale this morning on DCU streaming at 9AM/8AMc.

This is going to be a quick and dirty write-up to recommend Amazon’s latest, Hunters. Executive produced by Academy Award–winner Jordan Peele and led by legendary Academy Award–winner Al Pacino, Hunters follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.

I’m not a fan of period pieces (shows/books/movies set in the past), but given the story line and the cast, I’ll probably check this one out. It also stars Logan Lerman (Jack & Bobby), Jerrika Hinton (Grey’s Anatomy, Here and Now), Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother, Rise), Tiffany Boone (The Chi, Little Fires Everywhere), Greg Austin (Class), Louis Ozawa Changchien ( Matador, The Miraculous Year), Saul Rubinek (Warehouse 13, Blind Justice, Nero Wolfe), Dylan Baker (The Big Time, Damages, I’m Dying Up Here), Becky Ann Baker (Freaks and Geeks), Lena Olin (Alias, Welcome to Sweden), James Le Gros (True Fiction), Jeannie Berlin (The Night Of), and Ebony Obsidian (Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Sistas), as well as Henry Hunter Hall, Jonno Davies, Josh Mostel, Julissa Bermudez, Kate Mulvaney, Miles G. Jackson, and Caleb Emery.

The entire first season came out overnight last night on Amazon, so check it out now!

I’ll also be watching Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector & Hawaii Five-0.

Today, Netflix releases the first half of the fifth and final season of Fuller House. As the fourth season came to a close, the She Wolf Pack went to a performance of Hamilton, but Kimmy’s water broke just as the show was about to start. So DJ and Stephanie rushed her off to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jimmy was having doubts about becoming a father (little did he know it was about to be a little too late for that), but Fernando and Max calmed his fears. As Kimmy gave birth to a baby girl, Jimmy proposed to Stephanie, who, of course, accepted—”Stephanie Tanner, you are now officially going to be a Gibbler!” Also in the waiting room were Jackson and Rocki, who had reconciled – Jackson had made fun of her at prom, but she forgave him, and during the car ride to the hospital, the two seem to have realized they still had feelings for one another.

I’ve really enjoyed this revival series, and it’s sad to think there are just 18 episodes left. What crazy situations await the Tanners and Gibblers? We know there’s at least one more wedding in the works. Will the Olsen twins actually make an appearance before it’s all over? (Seems doubtful.) How will they explain the disappearance of Aunt Becky – is it too soon to joke about her legal situation? What will Stephanie and Jimmy name their daughter? This is one of the few Netflix shows I’ve managed to keep up with, and I look forward to checking out the new episodes tonight.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Blacklist, Van Helsing, Encore!, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Servant, The Graham Norton Show, The Mandalorian, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, and Top Elf.

With recent shake ups between HBO Max, Warner Brothers, and DCU, the streaming platform dedicated to DC properties may not last that long, but for the time being they have been certain to make sure of one thing: Every week since its launch the service has had at least one new episode of completely original content, including such shows as Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, & Young Justice. They keep that streak alive today by debuting Harley Quinn on the same day Titans season 2 ends.

This new Harley Quinn cartoon is NOT for kids. It is adult material in animated form, a la South Park or Rick and Morty. It is set to be violent AF and funny as well. Harley will be breaking away from her co-dependent abusive relationship with the Joker and striking out on her own. Many will be sad to see that this means she’s trading in the mallet and mime outfit for the “Suicide Squad” outfit and a metal baseball bat. Poison Ivy will be a regular and Harley’s bff. To make a name in the underworld independent of Mr. J, she’ll be forming a new crew. With the voice talents of Jason Alexander, Alan Tudyk, & Kayley Cuoco, this show should be an instant classic. There are plenty of other recognizable names & voices as well: Chris Meloni, Diedrich Bader, Giancarlo Esposito, J.B. Smoove, Jim Rash, Lake Bell, Natalie Morales, Ron Funches, Tony Hale, & Wanda Sykes.

Thirteen episodes means about three months, during which hopefully Doom Patrol season two wraps!

On today’s episode, “Til Death Do Us Part,” Harley Quinn is fed up being the Joker’s sidekick and strikes out on her own – determined to become the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City.

Don’t miss the premiere this morning at 9AM/8AMc.

I’ll also be watching that Titans finale, Ancient Aliens, & Black Jesus.
