Today, Netflix releases the first half of the fifth and final season of Fuller House. As the fourth season came to a close, the She Wolf Pack went to a performance of Hamilton, but Kimmy’s water broke just as the show was about to start. So DJ and Stephanie rushed her off to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jimmy was having doubts about becoming a father (little did he know it was about to be a little too late for that), but Fernando and Max calmed his fears. As Kimmy gave birth to a baby girl, Jimmy proposed to Stephanie, who, of course, accepted—”Stephanie Tanner, you are now officially going to be a Gibbler!” Also in the waiting room were Jackson and Rocki, who had reconciled – Jackson had made fun of her at prom, but she forgave him, and during the car ride to the hospital, the two seem to have realized they still had feelings for one another.

I’ve really enjoyed this revival series, and it’s sad to think there are just 18 episodes left. What crazy situations await the Tanners and Gibblers? We know there’s at least one more wedding in the works. Will the Olsen twins actually make an appearance before it’s all over? (Seems doubtful.) How will they explain the disappearance of Aunt Becky – is it too soon to joke about her legal situation? What will Stephanie and Jimmy name their daughter? This is one of the few Netflix shows I’ve managed to keep up with, and I look forward to checking out the new episodes tonight.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Blacklist, Van Helsing, Encore!, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Servant, The Graham Norton Show, The Mandalorian, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, and Top Elf.

Overnight last night was the complete first season premiere of V Wars on Netflix. Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries) stars as Luther Swann, a doctor who is pitted against his best friend (played by Adrian Holmes, True Justice), Fayne, after an ancient disease turns people into vampires. From the comics by Jonathan Maberry and Alan Robinson. It also stars Laura Vandervoort (Bitten, Smallville, Lisa), Peter Outerbridge (Happy Town), Jacky Lai, Kimberly-Sue Murray, & Kyle Breitkopf.

I love Ian Somerhalder and Laura Vandervoort, and I love the premise. So I’m hoping this will be a fun one to watch. Fun and dramatic with lots of action and hopefully some good adult fun. *laugh*

Check out the entire first season of V Wars now on Netflix.

I’ll also be watching Home for Christmas, The Unicorn, Santa’s Baking Blizzard, Evil, & Making It.

My pick today is the new comedy on Hulu, Dollface. According to Hulu, the show “follows Jules (Kat Dennings, 2 Broke Girls), a young woman who – after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend – must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women and rekindle the female friendships she left behind.”

I’m not entirely sure what that means. It’s rather a bland description. But the cast is what makes this interesting for me. Beside Kat Dennings, who I’ve missed since 2 Broke Girls, it also stars Brenda Song (who I watched on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody) and Goran Visnjic (who I LOVED on ER, but I never watched Timeless, Extant, or Red Widow, so I haven’t really seen him since), as well as new-to-me Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars) and Esther Povitsky (Alone Together). I’m not sure I’ll actually watch the show, although I’m sure I’ll probably try the first episode because of Brenda Song and Goran Visnjic.

The entire first season is out now on Hulu.

I’ll also be watching American Housewife, Nashville Squares, Hawaii Five-0, & Blue Bloods.

Overnight last night, the dark comedy-drama The End of the F***ing World returned for its second season on Netflix. In the first season, we met 17-year-old James (Alex Lawther), who’s a bit of a psychopath. He enjoyed killing animals and decided he wants to see what killing a human was like. He set his sights on rebellious classmate Alyssa (Jessica Barden), so when she suggested they run away together, he happily agreed. They played house in a seemingly empty home, and he started to fall for her. One day the owner returned and attempted to force himself upon Alyssa. James finally got his chance to experience killing a human as he stabbed the man in the neck. The two ended up on the run, on a road trip across England, eventually ending up at the coastside mobile home belonging to the father who abandoned Alyssa. Alyssa had this idealized view of her father, but when he saw their photos on the news, he called the cops. As the first season ended, it was like a Bonnie & Clyde or Butch & Sundance-like run from the cops and the sound of a gunshot.

The first season seemed like a nice ending to a complete story, so I was surprised when the show got picked up for a second season. But this happens often to successful “limited series” – if they end up being a huge success, the story gets extended. I really enjoyed the first season and am quite curious to see how they continue this story. When is this second season set in regards to the events of last season? Did anyone die? Are James and Alyssa going to continue to be on the run? I hope this season can recapture the magic of the first.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Wonderful World of Disney Presents The Little Mermaid Live!, Emergence, This Is Us, The Resident, The Flash, Arrow, The Purge, and Treadstone.

I was a little bit ticked off when I started working on the schedule for this week and realized The Great British Baking Show premiered last week on Netflix, and my main source didn’t have it listed when I was doing the schedule last week. But I was also very excited since that meant the show was back, and I love it! Unlike the previous season (but like the seasons before it), they didn’t drop the full season at once. Episodes will air weekly overnight on Thursday night/Friday morning, which means last night, they dropped episode 2.

I won’t spoil last week’s premiere, which I’ve already watched, since this is the first time I’m bringing it up. But I will say it’s a fun mix of contestants again this season (and one young guy is so nervous, he cuts his fingers 3 or 4 times in the first episode! LOL) and the hosts and judges are still as fun and kooky as ever.

Check out episode 2, “Biscuits Week,” now on Netflix.
